Dear Conference Delegates, As we move closer to the dates of the upcoming 15th IWA Leading Edge Conference on Water and Wastewater Technologies, which begins on 27th May 2018 (Sunday), this instructive document provides you with the final updates regarding the conference.

Conference Programme

A copy of the LET2018 conference book will be provided in your conference kit when you pick up your badges on-site.

Complimentary Shuttle Bus Transfers

Complimentary shuttle buses are arranged to pick up and drop off delegates between the Conference Official hotels (Fairmont Hotel, Han Yue Lou Solis Hotel and NEQTA Hotel) and the Conference Venue from 27th May till 30th May.

Delegates are advised to catch the earlier coach to ensure your seat availability on the complimentary transfers. Those who miss the complimentary transfers will have to make their own way to the conference venue.

Metro Line 10 is available at Jiangxinzhou Station (Exit 2) within 5 minutes walking distance from the conference venue.

Onsite Registrations and Badge Collection

You may pick up your badge and conference kit starting from 27th May at the following location:

Workshop Sessions on 27th May 2018 (Sunday)

Two workshops will be held at the Conference Venue from 13:30 to 17:30.

We are hosting a Welcome Reception with food and drinks for light dinner, on 27th May 2018 (Sunday) from 17:30 to 19:30.

Conference Tea Breaks and Lunches

Daily morning and afternoon tea/coffee breaks, and lunch will be provided to delegates. Vegetarian selections are available as part of the buffet spread. All meals and refreshments are not halal-certified, but none pork and lard options are available to choose.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR MODERATORS/CHAIRS & PRESENTERS

For Moderators and Chairpersons

• Refer to the latest conference programme on the website to confirm the date and time of the session that you are moderating.

• 30 minutes prior to the start of the session, please go to the speakers’ preparation desk to pick up the bio-data of the speakers in your session (in case it was submitted).

• Arrive at the session room at least 10 minutes before the session start time to meet with the presenters, and to familiarise with the room setup.

• Please exercise diligence in time keeping, and ensure sessions start and end on time.

For Oral/Platform presenters

• Refer to the latest conference programme on the website to confirm your presentation date and timing.

• Pease submit your PowerPoint to [email protected] as soon as possible and no later than May the 24th.

• You can download the presentation template here.

• You will have 15 minutes to present your work.

• Your presentation shouldn’t have more than 20 slides in total (including front page, index and acknowledgement). Keep to the time allocated for your presentation. Please be concise in your delivery.

• Be in the room at least 15 min before the beginning of the session.

• If you have any updated on your presentation after the above-mentioned deadline, please bring it to “speakers preparation room” during the conference at least 24 hours prior to your session.

For Poster Pitch Presenters

• Refer to the latest conference programme on the website to confirm your presentation date and timing

• Pease submit your PowerPoint to [email protected] as soon as possible and no later than May the 24th. You can download the presentation template here.

• You will have 5 minutes to present your work.

• Your presentation shouldn’t have more than 3 slides in total (including front page, index and acknowledgement). Keep to the time allocated for your presentation. Please be concise in your delivery.

• Be in the room at least 15 min before the beginning of the session.

• If you have any updated on your presentation after the above-mentioned deadline, please bring it to “speakers preparation room” during the conference at least 24 hours prior to your session.

• Poster Pitch Presenters need also to print the hard copy of the poster (size 80cm by 120 cm) and bring to the conference.

• A poster presentation session is scheduled during the Conference on 28th May 2018 (Monday) from 16:45 to 18:00. Please be present at your poster during the time to explain your poster to delegates who will be viewing the posters.

• Please remove your poster BEFORE 17:00 pm on 30 May and take it with you as the poster board will be dismantled in the evening of 30 May.

• Presenters need to print the hard copy of the poster (size 80cm by 120 cm) and bring to the conference.

Online pre-print proceedings

• The digital preprint proceedings compile all the papers (outline papers) submitted to the event and accepted to be part of the programme. Therefore, all papers of the programme may be uploaded to the proceedings, if the author agrees. The proceedings will be available for all registered delegates, 1 week after the Conference. Please note that the online proceedings may not be referred as a publication.

• If you do not want to have your submission available online please let the Secretariat know as soon as possible ([email protected]).

• Due to the last amendments of the programme some of the information related to the authors of the abstract may be changed. We kindly ask you to verify on the online programme and communicate any update the info related to authors, title or affiliation.
