There can be few organisations in which the health and wellbeing of the workforce and productivity and service quality are not inextricably linked. Improved business performancedepends to an important degree on the skills of people with management and leadershipresponsibilities in promoting and safeguarding the health of and wellbeing of their staff.Ways to ensure better supportive management of sickness absence, with aids to facilitatereturn to work are gathering pace. At the same time we see wider recognition that impaired mental health and wellbeing has become a major factor both in sickness absenceand in affecting the work capability and performance of people at work.

These are among the topics to be explored by managers and leaders at every level who attend this major annual conference. They come from organisations which seek to do better and become exemplary in the ways they support their staff, enhancing their reputation and achievement.
