Friendship DayFriends - ones who make you laugh louder, smile brighter and live better.

What a better way to show our gratitude than tying friendship bands and sharing how great it was knowing each other.

A day to cheer and thank friends for being a wonderful part of our lives.

"Jump To Release"SC-RC took the entire team out for watching "Bahubali the Beginning”. Amazing and fun filled 3 hours followed by selfies and snacks.

Independence Day CelebrationsThe theme for the day was obviously ‘Colours of The Flag’ & the office was beautifully decorated and done up to suit the theme. Everyone took immense pride in celebrating the 68th Independence Day .The celebrations commenced with the National Anthem followed by an inspirational speech, which evoked memories of the nation’s freedom fighters and aroused a sense

of patriotism and pride.

Sizzling SaturdayAs the new hectic work season was round the corner, SC–RC decided to prepare everyone for the challenges ahead by rejuvenating their spirits. For this purpose a one day trip to Lahari resorts was planned. Considering the long drive, we started quite early. Even during the long journey there was fun galore. At the resort, everyone jumped into the thrills of twisting and whirling water slides. After a thorough enjoyment in the pool, a game of cricket was set up. The hectic physical activity soon had everyone so hungry that we literally attacked the sumptuous lunch. The day long visit was indeed packed with fun for

each one of us.

Friendship Day !!To celebrate the spirit of the purest relationship of life - Friendship - RC Mumbai decided to develop new bonds and put existing ones to test with their "Selfie Treasure Hunt". Indeed a fun filled and enjoyable day for all !!

Khel Khel MeinThe entire office enjoyed and played the interesting, logical and mysterious Board Games-“Panic on Wall Street” to “Mafia” and “Spyfall” being some of them. The event was followed by lunch and sharing of insights about each other’s analytical and logical applications while they were on “Board”.

Health Check – up!!“There is no better time than now to start living healthy”. In today’s fast moving world, it is becoming increasingly difficult to spend time on one’s own health. In order to make us all aware of the importance of health checkups, SC-Admin tied up with “Thyrocare” to carry out basic health check up of staff and their family members, at our office premises on September 5. The Conference room was converted into a “Check Up Zone” where the members of Thyrocare conducted the tests after which the members were provided healthy breakfast in order to gear them up for the post breakfast sugar testing. The initiative was well received by the staff members who turned up early in office and took full advantage of this healthy initiative. A presentation was also given to highlight the importance of regular health checkups

Celebrating FriendshipFriends are family which we choose for ourselves!!

It was in this spirit that we ask on 'best friends' to dress alike. Friendship bands were also exchanged. The award was given to the best dressed friends!!

Each One, Plant One Our nature has done so much for us without expecting anything in return. To create an awareness amongst all of us about our responsibilities towards nature, SC-RC decided to celebrate this spirit by giving flower pots to each ASA – CCI family member.

The day reminds us of the contributions and sacrifices made by our earlier generations which led to attainment of freedom. SC-RC organised a “FLASH MOB” – a contemporary entertainment and patriotic presentation as a tribute to these freedom fighters. Staff members from different divisions participated in an appearing impromptu (but planned earlier) march in office carrying the tricolour and singing patriotic songs. The surprise event was the group dance performance. Nicely choreographed, it had the entire office clapping to the beat in unison. The office was decorated with National flags. The staff also enjoyed light refreshments in the evening.

The message of “Freedom of Thought, Action, Faith and Speech” was definitely evident in the air.

NAIFun on the run

An outdoor event MAD(RAS-E) was organised to unravel the mysteries of our very own Chennai. Based on clues, teams were asked to head to different locations to get to the answers and also complete a set of tasks. Thereafter, all teams converged at Marina beach and celebrated birthdays of staff members. A highlight of this event was that each participant was given a photo-framed collage of snaps taken on that very day. It was the culmination of a very entertaining and thoughtfully planned event on a Saturday.

Tik-Tik-Tik A f u n e v e n t w h e r e participants were asked to guess catch phrases based on clues given by other team members.

The board game of “Catch Phrase” was given an exciting twist and modelled into an interesting game titled “Tik Tik Tik”.

Musical EveningRhythm, beats and lyrics when put together give rise to the soul stirring medley that we call “Music”. To break the monotony of routine activities, our RC Team planned a Musical Evening of “Antakshari”. This was held at both Delhi and Gurgaon offices. It had the contemporary Honey Singh raps and at the same time the evergreen melodious songs of ‘Lata di’ and ‘Mukesh da’ regaling us all. It was an evening of fun for all present. Many participated very actively in the chorus while others did try shaking a leg to the Top ‘dance-trance’.

MadRase! !

Can’t describe your beauty

A rising sunCan’t beat your charm.

A full moonCan’t match your shine,

A thousand violin plays& a million roses blossom

When you smile.

Your are the queenOf world of roses,

You are like an angelWho bounds me in her spell.

I look into your eyesI see a soul, so calm

TALENT UNFOLD

Did you know facts!!

Keep Calm and Carry a CanonAs they say, camera is the ‘SAVE’ button for the mind’s eye. It helps us to freeze the present and cherish it forever. It is a great talent to be able to savor life intensely, every hundredth of a second. Blessed with such a talent is Siddharth Vaidya, who has an eye for all picturesque objects around him. He may be too shy to talk but his clicks tell a thousand words. As a photographer, he explores through time and space the world that resides outside the spoken and written world. It’s like a mind boggling exercise for us trying to be able to understand the true meaning behind his photographs. He clicks with such passion that even nature seems to be posing for him. It wouldn’t be wrong to say “he doesn’t take a photograph - he creates it!

Reunion – Vani VidyalayaIt was that time of the year, where union meets the letters ‘re’ to give it a wonderful meaning. School RE-UNION was the agenda for us and GOA was the perfect place to plant this agenda. All travelled through various means - flights, railways, roadways but our destination was one – GOA. Day 1 was enthusiastically filled with water sports with adrenaline pumping up our body. After a thrilling gaming experience it was time to chill by the shore, filling our stomachs with the goan delicacies. Day 2 was the time to rejuvenate with a spiritual session followed by a presentation which took us down the memory lane of school. We assembled at the conference hall where we had exchange of paintings/poems, Karaoke session, Anthakshari session. Day 3 - Last day, as we bid good bye, the joyful ride ended with a photo session and a lot of jhappis

Visit to DohaIt was my very first visit outside India, and obviously, for anyone going abroad for the first time, it was one of the most exciting moments. The destination was Doha, the capital of Qatar. Even though I had heard about the beauty of Doha it was only through somebody else’s experiences. Although the purpose of the visit was for professional work, we made most of the leisure time available with us on off days.

The journey started when along with three of my colleagues I boarded the flight to Doha at Nedumbaserry international airport. After a 4 hour flight, we landed at Hamad international airport, Doha around midnight. The glitter at Doha airport was something unimaginable – as if everything was coated with gold. The airport itself had an oasis theme. Driving through the city, where the buildings were lighted in a golden hue, I observed that many

of the buildings had a water motif, with wave-styled roofs and desert plants growing in it.

It was almost 1 am when we had dinner. But the entire place was buzzing with activity even at this time of the night. Almost all the restaurants and hotels were busy. The temperature of the place reaches up to 45-50 degrees in the afternoon, thus making people come out of their homes only during late evening for shopping, entertainment, etc.

The very next day we started our work. Our stay was about 5 kms away from the client office. So we had to travel through the city and could not see a single bike or cycle on the road. Only cars zipping across on the roads. The only rare sight of a bike would be a delivery man for delivery of food.

On the off day, we grabbed the opportunity to visit the city. The first place to visit was Corniche Area. The Doha corniche area is a waterfront promenade extending to several kilometres along the Doha Bay. The beauty and

size of the building in this place is something which is hard to describe in words. All the tall skyscrapers were always lit up creating a visual delight reaching up to the sky. My visit to Doha is still vivid in my mind and the experience of the beauty of that city is something I will cherish.

Fun Filled Trip to MekedatuIt all started on an early Sunday morning when along with my buddies we embarked upon our journey to reach this marvellous place deep inside the hills and jungle - Mekedatu, a place which attracts tourists for its natural beauty along with the mythological significance attached to it.

After travelling a distance of five kilometres inside the jungle, we finally reached “Mekedatu” where a strong torrent of water cuts through huge rocks. The rock formations formed due to the flow of water is a feast to the eyes. We undertook the slightly risky but adventurous trek to reach the edge of the huge rocks. The experience was simply exhilarating.

After spending about two hours we returned to refill our hungry stomachs and to make a move back to the pavilion. This trip with my buddies was a memorable experience filled with joy, adventure, numerous photos and a great time to remember forever.

KNOW YOUR MATE

Abdul Aziz (HYD)Abdul Aziz is one person who claims his worth through the work he does. He might come across a person of few words but once you get to know the person behind the veil, it’s completely different story. He puts any person at ease irrespective of the pressure he has got on his shoulders. He is the energetic, responsible, reliable person at Hyderabad office. He is fondly called “Mr. Perfect” in the office by all. Known for his simple and pleasant nature, he is a great motivator for the team. A hard working and focussed person who believes in “No Sacrifice – No Success” motto in life, takes pleasure from new challenges in life and learning from them. He is a big cricket fan and a keen movie buff. Music is another thing that he enjoys and which he says provide him solace. His conventional approach to work causes others to look at problems from a different perspective. It might sound like the usual words to describe a colleague but working with him is an experience like none other. Altogether, Hyderabad team has got a star performer, an immensely hard worker and a dynamic personality.

Prasanth Prabhu (KCH)Prasanth Prabhu, is a born multitasker who with his excellent reasoning and conceptual knowledge, always outshines in a crowd. No wonder, Prasanth excelled in managing all the responsibilities assigned to him as well as the role of RC Chair (last year) with admirable ease and finesse.

Along with his professional life, he handles the role of a caring husband (for wife Priyanka) and a responsible son. Last year he was blessed with a baby girl- Bhumika and now he is moulding himself to proving to be a loving and doting father too.

But then you might say those are the roles one is always expected to play if born a human. But hear this. Prasanth single handedly managed the NRHM statutory audit and proved his worth not just once but twice. Now that might raise a few eye-brows… You might be wondering what makes that audit such a big deal… NRHM stands for National Rural Health Mission – Statutory Audit and ASA – KCH was appointed as its auditors. If you still don’t get it, this was a pan-Kerala state audit. So now you realise the coverage!.

Needing really no introduction, Avik Mittal is an example of how life can be fun even in the most stressful jobs. A small town guy with sky high dreams who loves to spread happiness by making everyone around him happy. Everyone loves to watch dreams but he is the one who doesn’t just watch them but puts his best foot forward to achieve them, no matter what it takes.

Avik began his articleship with ASA in February 2014 and has been successfully pursuing it. Always smiling, cheerful and ready to help, he is a popular team player. He is now an active member of “SC-RC“ and enjoys organizing fun events at work like outings, lunch, festival celebrations etc. His efforts always earn him fulsome appreciation and love from everyone.

Besides being a diligent and hardworking person, he excels in his professional responsibilities too. Beyond work, he loves cooking, comedy shows and cracking jokes and pranks. A self-confessed “Selfie Guy” he just cannot resist to click dozens of selfies with his colleagues as well.

In short, he is a complete package representing youthful energy, full of life and having a passion for work at the same time. We wish him all the very best for his future and hope he accomplishes all his dreams and keeps getting reasons to celebrate every moment !!!

the promptness in his work and cooperation during the auditing of the f inance/reimbursement requests and processing to be forwarded to various locations. Before ASA took up the assignment, the payments that were very critical and which needed immediate attention towards auditing and clearance lacked promptness. There was thus delay in further processing and release of cheques. Mittal showed excellent team work and a detailed understanding of the issues. The client thanked Mittal for his efforts and wished him all the luck for his future endeavours.
