3 The glue bonds the chips and dowel to the face layers and honeycomb structure over a large area.

The process is identical for the Hettinject VB Insert connecting fitting.

The Hettinject bonding dowel guides the glue to the upper and lower face layers via flow channels. This produces a 3-dimensional structure similar to a supporting system connecting the face layers. The result is a highly stable structure capable of absorbing tensile forces as well as compressive forces.

Even lightweight panels with very thin face layers (< 4 mm) can be processed reliably. Cycle times are short, as little glue is required. The curing time can be selected individu-ally, depending on the glue used. Glues which can be used include e.g. Henkel Loctite® or Delo Duopox®.

The fitting is inserted at any desired attachment point from the front and can be operated from both sides.

Hettinject supplies a growing concept with future potential for processing - a concept permitting maximum flexibility combined with reliable process control in production.

The entire process is implemented in any process chain, from manual processing, upgrading individual machine tools in CNC production to all-automatic production lines and complete concepts for pass-through production.

The totally concealed Hettinject VB insert connects size 38 or 50 mm lightweight panels with 4 mm thick face layers. A standard drilling is all that is needed for its use, thus saving time in relation to surface cutting. The glue for the VB insert is applied at two points from which it simulta-neously flows through special glue channels to both face layers, securing the fitting.

Glues which can be used include e.g. Henkel Loctite® or Delo Duopox®. Ideal distribution of forces ensures that the finished product can withstand high load capacities. One exceedingly useful advantage is that this connecting fitting can be combined with the tried-and-tested Twister dowel.

Pull-out value was determined in tests using honeycomb board with face layers of chipboard to DIN EN 312 and bulk density to DIN EN 3323.The pull-out values of fastening material can be strongly affected by the nature and quality of the lightweight panels used as well asthe manufacturing tolerances. Therefore the application of the selected fastening material needs to be verified from cast to case.

Information on load capacity of cabinet suspension brackets and on accessories

The following basic loading principles must be observed when using cabinet suspension brackets and accessories: Both the furniture design and the quality of the furniture's material

and production are beyond our control. The quality and condition of wall materials are also beyond our

control. The suspension hooks we supply must be used with wall plugs and

are intended for attachment to solid brick, solid sand lime brick, concrete or engineering brick. An 8 mm drilling must be drilled into the wall, with the plastic wall plug being knocked in to leave it flush with the surface. The hook must be screwed into a depth that leaves at least 10 mm of its length projecting from the wall.

Commercial type special mounting elements must be used for attachment to other wall materials.

Dowels and screws must be matched to one another. Ordinary chipboard screws must not be used instead of wall plug screws.

Mounting suspension rails: - with 2 special screws, ø 5.5 x 50 mm, at the level of each cabinet

suspension bracket - above a carcase width of 900 mm, an additional special screw, ø 5.5 x 50 mm, must be fitted at the centre on the back of each carcase (type A, type B and type H). Add on elements, such as end shelves, must not be fitted without

separate cabinet suspension bracket.

Quality that meets all the demands

The quality of Hettich cabinet suspension brackets is monitored con-tinuously. Indication of the load capacity makes it easier to choose the right suspension bracket. The stated load capacity has been checked in accordance with the requirements of EN 15939. All the tests to EN 15939 which are listed below are performed in a defined test frame. The diagrams below are merely intended asillustrations.

Impact test

Loading the cabinet with 140% of the permitted load capacity. A steel plate weighing 1.7 kg is toppled over onto the top panel ten times.

Swivel test per door

The hinged door of the loaded cabinet is opened and closed ten times with an additional weight of 30 kg.

Overload test

Loading the cabinet with 200% of the permitted load capacity over 7 days.
