Thank you so much for downloading this resource pack which focuses on common consonant digraphs. It includes two activities:

1. Sort – lay out the square sorting card headings and place the pictures below the corresponding heading.

2. Word Hunt – place a selection of relevant cards around the room. Students walk around to find the answers and write them on the

sheet.Please note: If you own a literacy dice the square headings will also fit in

the dice pockets – great for a roll the sound and think of a word activity.

I recommend focusing on the beginning sounds in one session and the ending digraphs in another. It’s also good to discuss where we often see

these sounds. For example, “ch” is often at the beginning and end of words.
