Why STEM-H?• STEM-H occupations are the fastest growing career areas.
• The STEM-H curriculum focuses on three high demand job areas:
Information Systems TechnologyHealth Sciences and Engineering
• STEM-H classrooms provide an environment where students can develop hard and soft skills that are essential for the workforce of tomorrow.
• STEM-H programs allow a student to take rigorous dual enrolled coursework.
AT THE STEM-H ACADEMY . . .
• Students will be challenged to learn and demonstrate knowledge in variety of ways.
• Assessments are often based on the ability to work together collaboratively to solve a problem or create a product.
• Students become problem-solvers and think critically about the discipline they are studying.
• Students gain insight, knowledge, and college credit that will put them a step ahead after graduating from high school.
The Basics• All courses, except for BCPS Advanced
Studies Biology, will be dual enrolled.• All textbooks will be provided by BCPS.• Based on current agreements, all dual
