November 2017
Friends,
As Board Chair of Adams County Community Foundation, I am pleased to present the Community Foundation’s 2017/18 Giving Spree Resource Book. This year over 70 organizations from across Adams County, and an anticipated 400 donors, will join us on November 9, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Gettysburg Area Middle School, for our annual day of collective giving.
We encourage you to use the Giving Spree to support the organizations you care about and get to know others with whom you are not yet familiar. As an incentive to support your passion for giving, Adams County Community Foundation’s Thomas E. and Florence B. Metz Fund and Knouse Foods, have pledged percentage match funds totaling $25,000 for gifts made on the day of the event.
We are grateful to our media sponsor, the Gettysburg Times, for distributing the Resource Book ahead of the event so that when you join us on November 9, you will have had time to consider your gift choices. All the nonprofit agencies listed in the Resource Book will be available on November 9th to speak with you about their work in the community.
Please remember to keep this book all year long to make donations in honor of your loved ones’ special occasions; and when you’re ready to give back, talk with us about creating your own charitable fund at the Community Foundation. Your fund can support any of your favorite charities, interest areas or all of Adams County.
If you have any questions about the event or how the Community Foundation can help facilitate your giving, please contact our President, Ralph Serpe at (717) 337-0060 or email [email protected].
Thank you for your support of the agencies who work to meet the needs of those who live in Adams County. Together, we create a generous community.
Sincerely,
Terry Gingrow, Board ChairAdams County Community Foundation
