1.Background: Why Big Science Sweden Conference 2020?• BSBF 2020 is postponed to 2021, September 28 - October 1• We are arranging Big Science Sweden Conference 2020 to stay tuned

and offer our community a meeting place to deepen the engagementin Big Science.• Big Science Sweden Conference is a member conference where we

invite research facilities, universities/institutes and industry.

2.This is how we turn the conferencevirtual

• This year’s theme is: ”Join us in building the Big Science Ecosystem”• We will foucs on the ongoing national efforts to strengthen Sweden as a Big

Science nation. • Focus will be on Swedish Big Science suppliers and we are also welcoming

European system integrators interested in cooperating with Swedish suppliers.

• Format• Seminars, presentations, breakout sessions. Everything will be virtual via

Zoom• Virtual exhibition with video pitches• 1-1-matchmaking meetings

3. The virtual exhibition will take place on the homepage

We will use the section “Swedish Suppliers”, on our homepage, the database with member companies. This is where visitors at the virtual exhibition easily can search and take part of companies’ presentations.

4. Every member company will have a short video pitch

This is where we will add a link to the video pitch where member companies will get anopportunity to present their unique offering to Big Science.

5. Important when creating a pitch

• Raise awareness• Be short and crispy• Talk about relevant things and create curiosity• Maximum time: 1 minute• Present in English

6. Recording a 1 minute video-pitch available at the virtual exhibition• A zoom meeting will be set up where one Biss person will record the pitch• Focus on your Big Science supplies• Write a script and try to learn it by heart or put it somewhere readable

when recording the pitch.• Prepare 3 slides in a power point and use if you feel more confident.• Stand up with a preferred background such as your company’s roll up or

use a virtual background. • Be engaged and have fun when presenting• Two alternatives of recording:

• The presentation will be recorded with a small picture of the speaker in one corner and showing the powerpoint

• The speaker will be recorded in half figure with either a virtual or physicalbackground showing something symbolising your company.

Structure of script

1. Slide 1 (20 seconds): 1. Present yourself and your company name and the essence of your business.2. On the slide: Include your logo, your name, title, company name and name of city, one

sentence about your company’s offer.2. Slide 2 (20 seconds):

1. Present one or two sentences about the essence in your Big Science offering. If youhave delivered to a facility include what, where and to whom. What is unique in yourapproach? What will your product do/mean to a Big Science facility?

2. On the slide: Include a picture of your delivery or alike.3. Slide 3 (20 seconds):

1. Tell why your customers think you are better than competitors. Conclude the pitch with a call to action, e.g. contact information, more information on the homepage.

2. On the slide: include homepage address and a picture symbolising your company.
