MissionOur Mission is to discover, design and deliver Innovation-driven Education and Scholarship (IDEAS) of international standing that has an impact on students, organizations and the understanding of business issues.

Drawing on Hong Kong’s position in China, we will enable students from Asia and beyond to make an effective contribution to the organizations in which they work, and to society as a whole. They will have a global outlook, ethical understanding and the capacity to work effectively in an international business environment.

Welcome to PolyU Business School (PBS).

PBS is a world-class business school that offers high-quality academic programmes and conducts cutting-edge research. We have achieved accreditations from AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System).

PBS is dedicated to the pursuit of IDEAS (Innovation-driven Education and Scholarship) with a 3D focus on Discovery, Design and Delivery. We realize knowledge and technology transfer through a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as partnership and close links with industry and the professional community.

Undergraduate studies

Instead of applying to each BBA Major separately, local students who are interested in the above BBA programmes (with JS programme codes) can apply for admission to the Broad Discipline of Business (BD), which will allow them the flexibility to take a range of introductory subjects for the respective BBA Majors before making a decision and declaring their target awards no later than the end of semester one in their second year of study.

* The above full-time programmes (except **) are offered as 4-year programmes (JS codes) for JUPAS and non-JUPAS applicants as well as 2-year programmes (SY codes) for Associate Degree and Higher Diploma graduates.

PBS has a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) scheme comprising eight awards in addition to other programmes, most of which are widely recognized by professional bodies.

Can IELTS/TOEFL results be used to meet the English Language requirement?

Can Applied Learning (ApL) subjects be used to meet the entrance requirements?

ApL subjects will not be accepted for meeting the entrance requirements of BBA programmes in PolyU.

How do we select students?

Selection will be based on (a) Academic achievements;(b)Non-academicachievementsandOtherLearningExperiences(OLE);and/or(c) Selection interviews / aptitude tests.

How are applicants shortlisted for interview before the announcement of HKDSE result?

Candidates may be selected for interview before HKDSE results are available based on information provided by school principals, academic performance of applicants in school, other experiences & achievements (OEA) and additional information provided by the applicants.

In what way will WIE be assessed?

WIE will be graded as pass or fail based on: (1) An initial statement from the student on the objectives and duration of work; (2) A statement from the employer with confirmation on the work duration and

satisfactory performance; and (3) A self-evaluation report from the student.

Why go on international student exchange?

Students go on exchange outside Hong Kong to increase their cultural exposure. PBS collaborates on student exchange with more than one hundred universities, of which more than 70% are accredited by EQUIS or AACSB. Students can apply for Faculty Sponsorship and Faculty Hardship Fund as necessary.
