PPRACTICERACTICE RRANGEANGE
Please note: The driving range will close at 4:30pm on
Sundays & Thursdays and open at 8:30am on Mondays
and Fridays to accommodate weekly maintenance.
During the winter, the range will be “mats only” during
the week. The grass will be used on weekends, weather
permitting. This will help maintain the quality of the turf
during the slower growing season.
Also, we would like to remind our members that range
balls are NOT to be removed from the driving range. If
you have any bags or balls in your cars, golf carts, or
garage, we ask that you please return them to the driving
range so we can keep them in circulation for the
enjoyment of all members and guests.
Thanks!
CCARTART FFEESEES
Member cart fees for 2011 have not changed and are still
$17 plus tax for 18 holes and $11 plus tax for 9 holes. For
those members who play often, we offer an annual cart
plan which allows you unlimited cart use for the year.
Please contact Karen Vaughn if you would like to be
added to a cart plan.
HHOLEOLE ININ OONENE CCLUBLUB
Please see Mike or Bob in the golf shop to sign up for the
hole in one club, before you get your next ace! Each hole
in one club member will be charged a maximum of $5
each time another hole in one club member makes an
Ace. The bar bill will be divided by all hole in one club
members and covered up to the amount of one billing (i.e.
if there are 100 members, the bar bill up to $500 will be
covered). Anyone not in the hole in one club who makes
an ace will be responsible for their own bar tab.
Also, we will provide any member who makes a hole in
one with a gift certificate, courtesy of our Bollinger

12 R12 ROUNDOUND LLIMITIMIT FORFOR NNONON--GGOLFOLF MMEMBERSEMBERS
Social members and non-members have full access to the golf facilities on a space available basis and will be required
to pay the applicable rack rate for golf. However, social members and non-members will be limited to 12 rounds of
golf per calendar year at Coosaw creek country Club.
Effective January 2011, the club will require all non-golf members and social members to fill out a customer informa-
tion card upon their first round of golf to input their customer data into our POS system for tracking purposes. Once
customer information has been collected, the POS system will track the
number of rounds played to ensure the 12 round limit is not exceeded.
In addition, to the 12 rounds of golf that are permitted by this policy, all
non-golf members will be permitted to play an additional 12 rounds of golf
as the guest of a golf member and will be required to pay the applicable
guest fee for golf.*Participation in club sponsored tournaments, events,
golf outings and golf leagues will not count against the annual limitation
on rounds played.”
Note from the LGA
Note from the LGA
The LGA is hosting the 2011 Kick-Off Golf & Luncheon on Wed. Feb. 16th.
We are extending the invitation not only to existing golfers, but to all women in the community who have a potential interest in
playing the game. You can join us in playing a 9-hole step aside scramble or meet us for lunch. There will also be a ladies spring
fashion preview of golf apparel for our input. You will also be able to place orders if you so choose, but the primary object is to
help Mike select what we women would like to see in the pro shop in the future!
As I mentioned in January, there will be a 9-hole group starting Wed.
March 2nd. This group will tee off @ 11am so that all gals can meet up afterwards for socialization (in keeping with our by-
laws)! All new golfers are encouraged to participate and also those gals who just enjoy playing. There will be mini clinics
throughout the year with dates & times to be established.
As we go to press, we are preparing for the LGA sponsored Martini Party to be held on Jan. 27th. Cheryl Boan has graciously
agreed to hostess the event & response has been wonderful.
A number of us played in Calga @ Legend Oaks this month and Peggy Brinson was our shining star! She won low gross in her
flight with a 105. Way to go.
Special thanks to Kit Graves for creating the Fun Board in the ladies locker room and to Martha Windich for providing the stand.
Make sure to come by and check it out!
I look forward to our new season, and I encourage all gals to consider getting involved in the game. Come join us on the 16th to
see what we’re all about.

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -- American teen Ashley Caldwell grabbed gold for her first freestyle World Cup medal, winning
the aerials event on her home hill Friday.
Qi Guangpu of China won the men's competition ahead of American Ryan St. Onge.
The 17-year-old Caldwell beat Alla Tsuper of Belarus and Xu Mengtao of China just one week after her previous best
World Cup finish, a 10th place in Quebec. She was fifth among the 12 skiers in the final round and won by cleanly land-
ing a back-full-double-full jump.
"I hadn't landed that jump until this week," said Caldwell, who trains year-round in Lake Placid. "This is one of the
most exciting days in my life."
Emily Cook was the only other U.S. woman to reach the final, finishing fourth for the second straight week.
Guangpu was the top finisher in the men's qualifying round, and his lead held up when he landed a back-full-double-full
-full jump in the final.
St. Onge's silver was the first of his World Cup aerials career, which started in 1992. He has nine victories and one third
place.
Anton Kushnir of Belarus won bronze.
Dylan Ferguson of the U.S. placed 19th.
The freestyle World Cup aerials heads to Calgary next week and will be followed by the World Championships in Deer
Valley, Utah.
