IntroductionI. MARINE PARKS OWNED AND OPERATED

1. The Underwater Observatory Marine Park, Eilat, Israel - Opened to the public in 1974.

2. The Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA), Perth, Australia - Purchased and operated from 1991.

3. Maui Ocean Center (MOC), Maui, Hawai'i, USA- Developed by the company, and operating since 1998.

4. Palma Aquarium, Palma de Mallorca, Spain - The Palma Aquarium was opened in June 2007 and is on its way to becoming Mallorca’s number one attraction.

Each of the above parks is incorporated as a company registered in the country of operation and is owned by CWI.

Coral World International (also referred to as Coral World or CWI), originated in Israel in the mid-1970s when entrepreneur Morris Kahn and world-renowned marine biologist David Friedman envisioned a new kind of aquarium. The two founders developed the concept of an ocean observatory where tourists could

go underwater and closely observe the reefs and marine life - all without getting wet. In partnership with Ampal, the American-Israeli Corporation, Coral World launched the Red Sea Underwater Observa-tory (also known as Coral World Eilat) in Israel, and opened the site to the public in 1985.

For the first time, land-based tourists could observe and enjoy the fascinating world under the sea - a world previously seen only by divers.

Since then, Coral World International has grown to become a major player on the international area, with numerous marine parks, and is currently developing more new and exciting parks.

MULTIMEDIA PROJECTS & OTHER ATTRACTIONS

The company is also developing various multimedia projects such as the "Oceanarium" based in Eilat – a motion theater (150 seats) that sends the visitors on a journey through the wonders of the sea.

The company has developed a new concept for histori-cal attractions and museums and is implementing this model in archeological sites and historic cities around the world, such as Pompeii and Venice through a sub-sidiary company: Vista Historica B.V.

Since the opening of the first park in 1975, more than 25 million people have experienced the wonder of the Coral World parks.

II. MARINE PARKS THAT HAVE BEEN SOLD TO OTHER OPERATORS

1. Coral World Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, USA – Constructed in 1978 and sold

in 1997.

2. Coral World Bahamas, Nassau, Bahamas – Constructed in 1987 and sold in 1995.

3. Oceanworld, Manly, Australia – Purchased in 1992 and sold in 1999 to The Sydney Aquarium.

III. ASSISTING OTHER MARINE PARKS

1. Undersea World, Jakarta, Indonesia – The company took part in the design and management of

the park.

The Coral World ConceptCoral World Marine Parks introduce the public to the wonders of the underwater world through their unique display concept, using some of the world's most inno-vative technology to explore the ocean's depths.

The underwater ocean observatory is the most important element of the Coral World concept, let-ting visitors and tourists of all ages experience views previously only seen by divers and scientists. Located in Eilat, St. Thomas, and Nassau, underwater observa-

tories thrive in coral-growing areas where the water is clean and pure.

Visitors to the observatories cross a bridge extend-ing off-shore from the Coral World facility, and then descend beneath the waves while remaining perfectly dry! From the safety of the observatory, visitors can see fish and other reef-dwellers up close – an experience that has a profound and lasting impact on all who visit.

The acrylic tunnel turns tourists into underwater explorers, traveling through the depths of a huge pool containing local marine life. Found in the Coral World parks in Australia, Hawai'i, and Spain, the tunnel allows visitors to experience deep sea life, coming face-to-face with sharks and other ocean creatures as a moving walkway guides them through the attraction.

Coral World's open circulation system is a first-rate example of how advances in marine technology can affect how we see and experience marine life. By using this system, which supplies all exhibits with high-quality saltwater, Coral World can display live corals in addition to many exotic fish and invertebrates that are rarely seen outside their natural habitat. This innovation has hugely contributed to the beauty of Coral World's displays, which reflect the beauty of the deep.

The beauty of Coral World marine parks is renowned and admired worldwide, and the company takes partic-ular care to do no harm to the local environment from which it draws the plant and animal life for its displays.

Coral World aquariums, which use the innovative open circulation system, extract natural seawater from the nearby open water, circulate it through the aquarium, and then expel the same water. This use of seawater preserves the quality of marine life in the displays, and ensures that visitors observe the fish and other creatures in as natural a habitat as possible.

The habitat within the aquariums is built up over a lengthy period, taking care to stabilize the internal envi-ronment with hardier species before introducing more sensitive species to the aquarium system. Marine life is carefully collected by our specialist personnel using hand-nets and lines, who observe a strict ecological code designed to limit the disturbance to wildlife.

Coral World's parks are supported by their local com-munities, and the government departments that oversee the parks have been convinced that the aquariums have no adverse effects on the environment. Coral World's facilities are proving to be beneficial to the preservation of endangered species, providing a safe, suitable habitat for breeding and research.

Educational Programs Schoolchildren and college students are some of most enthusiastic supporters, visiting the parks to conduct research, participate in educational programs, and learn more about some very different "schools" that thrive offshore.

Coral World works together with local communities to encourage curiosity about the vast oceans and seas on their doorsteps, and to help students, community groups, and other interested citizens discover entirely new marine worlds. Coral World's programs can be conducted as work experience or as internships, pro-viding a unique opportunity to explore where only experienced scientists and divers have gone before.

The professional Coral World staff has created special activities and programs inspired by and tailored to the local communities that host Coral World parks.

Areas of interest include aquaculture and the preser-vation and breeding of rare and endangered species. External experts and universities are also welcome to take advantage of the Coral World facilities as part of their research into marine life.

Coral World International’s wealth of experi-ence and unrivalled vision have contributed to the success of some of the world’s most beautiful marine parks.

CWI’s dedicated management and development team are strongly aware of the ways marine parks can be used to benefit and study aquat-ic life, including the fascinating coral reefs that are found in locations around the world. Coral World is constantly working to cooperate with local communities and to bring about a greater understanding of the undersea environment.

Benjamin Kahn, son of Morris Kahn, and cur-rent President of Coral world International, was recently cited by Time magazine as one of their Heroes of the Environment. His efforts to restore and protect the Eilat coral reef, and to promote clean water in the area, have won him plaudits from around the world, and are reflected in the Coral World environmental ethos.

The company’s four major parks have become popular destinations for tourists, students, and researchers, and continue to delight, educate, and inspire millions every year.

Coral World International continues to grow and to create amazing marine parks and tourist attractions worldwide, including new multime-dia projects, historical attractions, museums and more.
