Core KnowledgeCharter SchoolCore Knowledge® Charter School (CKCS) is a public education option for parents, students and teachers in the Vero-na Area School District where students develop strong learning skills and a broad base of knowledge through the use of proven educational material and programs in a safe and structured environment. With Kindergarten through 8th grade in one school, CKCS is able to offer flexible based learning groups, taught using the Core Knowledge® Sequence for Content Guidelines, creating literate students prepared for a lifetime of learning.

The Verona Area School District (VASD) is working with all district schools to ensure that: •Every student has a personalized learning plan that provides a path to discovery and achievement and that plan is re-viewed and changed at least annually based on the student’s needs•Every student’s parent, guardian or advocate participates directly in the design, implementation, and outcomes of that student’s personalized learning plans•Every student meets or exceeds personalized learning plan goals every school year•Every Verona Area High School student graduates•Every graduate achieves their choice of college and career path
