UNIQUE HERITAGE, TRANSLATED FOR

TODAY’S LIFESTYLE

Trevethow Riel – Truro

Your home here will be brand new, of course. It’s designed and built in the grand Georgian style, to reflect many of the wonderful traditional buildings in Truro. Only developments approved by the Duchy of Cornwall feature properties with this heritage, character and attention to authentic detail. Every building has to comply with a strict code, ensuring excellent design standards – and these are matched by construction that achieves durability through traditional materials and techniques, while providing energy efficiency and insulation.

Most importantly, we’ve made these connections with the past work perfectly for contemporary living. We haven’t simply been inspired by the architectural style. We’ve also made the living space more generous than in most 21st century homes.

And the gardens are larger than you might expect – with walls for privacy, and for a look and feel of solid quality.

This is also a very impressive place to live, from the outside looking in. Anyone driving into the city from the east will see Trevethow Riel’s magnificent crescent, with its elegant windows and ornate wrought-iron railings. This is a vital new part of Truro’s landscape – a monument to the architect’s vision of modern living in a historic setting.

Everywhere you look in Trevethow Riel, there’s another small detail that makes a huge difference to your quality of life. The values of yesterday reinvented for today.

At Trevethow Riel, we’ve embraced the quality and character of traditional homes, and adapted them to suit the contemporary way of life.

Only developments approved by the Duchy of Cornwall feature properties with this heritage, character and

attention to authentic detail.

CONSIDERED AND CRAFTED WITH OUR

STAMP OF APPROVAL

As you step through the door, high ceilings create a luxurious sense of space in every room. These are light, airy homes, designed to be relaxing and comfortable, as well as extremely beautiful.

Solid timber doors and windows are crafted to recreate the finesse of the Georgian era, while complying with modern standards of security, durability and insulation. Traditional workmanship, applied to the demands of today’s homes.

In the kitchen, traditional style blends with contemporary living. Fitted cabinets with a classic design sit happily alongside modern integrated appliances, and luxurious granite worktops. There’s also plenty of useful storage, cleverly designed to make the most of the space.

Bathrooms and en suites follow a similar theme of timeless elegance: tasteful white suites with beautiful Porcelanosa tiles. Trevethow Riel makes daily routines a real pleasure.

Energy efficiency is also built in. Even though these are Georgian-style homes, we’ve designed them to exceed today’s building regulations for insulation. Also, most of them have wood-burning stoves to create a cosy welcome while generating cost-effective heat. Of course, there’s modern central heating too, but a flickering fire adds that unmistakable Trevethow Riel touch.

Outside space is a priority here, too. Enclosed gardens are a distinctive aspect of these well-proportioned properties. We’ve also included plenty of parking spaces – we know how many modern households have at least one car, and somewhere safe to keep them is essential.

Whether you choose a home on two or three storeys – with three, four or five bedrooms – attention to detail and exceptional quality are guaranteed.

As well as private gardens and parking, there’s also a large, green central square – ideal for meeting neighbours and making new friends. Around the local streets, there are walls made from local stone, plus a pleasing mix of timber fencing and decorative wrought-iron railings.

Every detail has been considered carefully, to make living at Trevethow Riel fulfilling and enjoyable. Design here is all about enhancing experiences. Making each day better, in many little ways.

WELCOME TO AWONDERFUL CITY

As a constant reminder of Truro’s history, the imposing towers and green gothic spire of the fine cathedral loom large over the rooftops. There’s a keen sense of the past in the city’s cobbled streets and Georgian architecture – and these blend beautifully with the familiar features of modern living: cafés, pubs and restaurants, and an interesting mix of independent and national shops.

If you prefer a more traditional form of retail therapy, Truro has some lively markets. The art galleries, museums and the Hall for Cornwall theatre all help to create a vibrant culture. To fill your leisure time, there are superb golf clubs (Truro and Killiow) and an excellent lawn tennis club – plus, for the kids, a great play park at nearby Malpas.

Add to all this a picturesque riverside, and many peaceful parks and open spaces, and this is a very pleasant place to call home.

It’s a convenient location, too. Right in the centre of the county, and with good access in and out, you’re within easy reach of the rest of Cornwall. The north coast beaches of St. Agnes, Perranporth, Watergate Bay and Newquay (the county’s surfing capital) are all just a short drive away. The nationally renowned sailing waters of Helford and the Fal are close by. It’s a quick ferry ride to the beautiful countryside of the Roseland Peninsula and the pretty town of St. Mawes. There are stunning walks virtually on your doorstep – for example, at the tranquil Trelissick Garden, or Idless Woods.

If you need to travel further, the transport links are all here. Truro is on the main rail line to Paddington, and Newquay Airport is only 25 minutes away, offering a choice of national and international connections.

Living in Truro, you have everything you need close by. All in the remarkable setting of Cornwall’s capital city.

CLOSE TO THE CITY, SURROUNDED BY BEAUTY

It’s just a short drive into town, with all its amenities and attractions. Public transport is even easier – the park and ride bus picks up at Trevethow Riel. And for your weekly shop, there’s no distance to travel at all: Waitrose supermarket is right next door.

Looking the other way, you’re on the edge of beautiful countryside. So walking or cycling can be everyday pleasures. Space to breathe, when it’s time to relax.

For getting out and about on four wheels, you couldn’t be in a better spot. There’s easy access to the A30 to London, and it’s easy to travel to the north coast beaches and towns by car.

If schools are an important factor in your choice of home, there are plenty of excellent options nearby. Primary schools include Archbishop Benson and Bosvigo, plus the private Polwhele House and Truro Prep School. For secondary schools, there are Penair and Richard Lander – with Truro School and Truro High School for Girls as the private alternatives.

On the eastern side of Truro, Trevethow Riel is ideally placed.

HIGH QUALITY HOMES BY ZEROC

We have, for a long time, been at the forefront of sustainable, low-carbon design and construction.

Our aim is to build aspirational new homes and inspirational new places that are efficient and cost-effective to live in. Homes that respect both the environment and the people who live in them.

Our approach is design-led. We care about the quality of architecture, generous well-designed interior spaces, the visual interest and impact of our developments, and the quality of their infrastructure and public spaces.

We work across the UK and are expert in creating new communities for significant public and private sector landowners, including the Homes and Communities Agency, the Duchy of Cornwall, and some of Britain’s largest and most innovative individual landowners.

We are noted for listening, understanding, and tuning in to what’s needed – and then creating it attractively and sustainably. Our developments share a strong sense of place and quality beyond the ordinary, which has helped us win many major building awards. We do our best to do it right.
