National DWDM Network Build

Ciena was awarded the build of a new 100G Core transmission network for one of the UK’s largest Network Operators using Ciena’s 6500 Packet-Optical Platform. $e new network replaced the existing BT-provided network and consisted of 80 nodes and 285 circuits.

Flomatik provided the end-to-end service delivery including, Site Survey, Warehousing & Logistics, Pre-Staging, Installation, Commissioning, SLAT and Project Management.

Network Expansion

Flomatik delivered 111 x 10Gb wavelengths on behalf of Ciena for one of the UK’s largest Network Operators.

$e 3m project involved the Installation and Commissioning of 23 expansion shelves and 190 line cards. It was delivered on time and with 100% QA compliance.

National 24/7 Technical Assistance Centre for Enterprise Networks Flomatik’s client, Cloud Distribution, is a value-added distributor that specialises in bringing new, innovative and disruptive security, networking and storage solutions. Cloud partnered with Flomatik to support 50+ clients and a network of 1500 WiFi hotspots across the UK. Flomatik provides Level 1&2 support, employing leading online helpdesk S/W from Zendesk®.

Skyline Dataminer® Implementation Flomatik is an approved services partner and reseller for Skyline, an award-winning Belgian provider of OSS S/W. Flomatik continues to support Arqiva, the UK’s National Terrestrial & Satellite Broadcaster, in the deployment and integration of the Dataminer® OSS solution. Langley System X Voice Switch Migration, Recovery and Recycling

8-month programme, migrating 24,000 lines from Langley to Guildford, recovering 1400 ft2 of technical floor-space and realising onging power savings of £323K per annum.

Flomatik provided Virgin Media with a turnkey service for delivery, encompassing Project Management, Planning, Engineering and RRR services.

Network Refresh Programme

Multiple work-streams and upgrades: TDM-IP (Soft Switch); SDH-DWDM/Ethernet; Street-side PMUX-MSAN.

Flomatik delivered an upgrade programme for Core and Access legacy TDM, SDH & PDH systems, deploying the latest generation of IP switching and transport systems - future-proofed, high capacity and CO2 efficient, with power savings of 1390kW per annum. Scarce EOL spares were recovered and £280K of RRR value was realised.

Fibre Optic Termination and Assemblies

State-of-the-art fibre termination facilities, enabling fast turnaround of customer-specified optical terminations. Design, manufacture and fabrication of bespoke optical, and associated mechanical, assemblies.

Flomatik provides an in-house capability for the development and production of high-end optical components. $e service provides fast-turnaround to aid clients in removing critical dependencies and risk during high-pressure projects, and complementing the company’s wider integration activities.

Survey, Planning and Records Automation

Flomatik is a user and official reseller of LatLonGo®, a system developed by WeDoIT. LatlonGo® is a S/W tool to automate, streamline and simplify a range of Design, Build and Operate activities.

Flomatik supports WeDoIT in the customisation, integration and implementation of the LatLonGo® product, to drive effectiveness and efficiency gains into the project lifecycle. Flomatik uses these field tools extensively in both its Planning and Engineering activities.
