Corset Story was founded by Maggie Yan and Chris Rawlings in 2008 with the drive to continue creating this iconic piece of clothing with smarter, more sophisticated craftsmanship.
As their business grew from a small eBay store to an international company, they struggled with order fulfilment and inventory management. Corsets that looked similar but varied in size were being mis-identified which led to incorrect stock figures being displayed online.

THE CHALLENGE
Corset Story ship their products from China and India in bulk but there was no standardised product labelling across the different suppliers. As such, correctly identifying individual corsets became very difficult. This led to stock figures being updated incorrectly online causing oversells, but also to mis-shipments of the wrong corset.
With customer satisfaction being the driving force of Corset Story, they were keen to find a solution to their warehouse management so that they could provide the best service for their customers.

THE SOLUTION
With the help of Peoplevox, Corset Story designed a standard label template for all of their products which they uploaded into Peoplevox’s system.This allowed them to print labels at goods in for corsets that arrived without a barcode, but they could also send the template to their suppliers.
As a result, all of the items being received in their warehouse could be quickly and easily identified in a standard way. Not only did this eliminate mistakes, it also sped up the goods in process as there was no need to re-check every item.
