Dynamiccon Dynamiccon is a convention founded by cosplayers for cosplayers. Our goal is to

give starting cosplayers a push in the back and help them develop themselves and

their cosplays. Because Dynamiccon is a convention for cosplay, so we can’t miss a

cosplay-competition.

Judges focus area’s

Our Judges will have focus area’s during the competition, such as performance and

ostume. Who our judges are going to be will be announced later on.

Most-In-Character-prize

This is a new prize at Dynamiccon. This is an extra chance at winning a prize, by

being the most in character during the contest. This prize is winable for all

contestants, no matter which category.

Documents We need some specific documents from you if you want to participate. Each

categorie has its own set of documents that we need to have for you to take part in

this competition. The required documents have to have been delivered to us before

31th of December. Any documents send in after this date will not be added to the

competition and this contestant will be disqualified.

General rules

1 Costumes should provide enough body coverage to be worn in public and should be in good taste and appropriate for a family-friendly convention.

2 Costumes should not have any parts that could cause an injury to other participants.

3 If the costume is made of hard materials please ensure that edges are rounded off and/or padded appropriately.

4 For Cosplay weapons guidelines read the house-rules/huisregels. Dutch weapons law will always apply!

5 1. You may not use: Any items that can spill on the stage, like bubbles, glitter, confetti etc.

6 There are no age restrictions.

If you wish to withdraw please let a member of Dynamiccon team, at the Info Desk, know before 11am.

8 2. There are a limited number of slots, so we recommend that you enter early to avoid disappointment!

9 If you think your costume will exceed our safety regulations, please contact us.

10 There may be a case of disqualification when not listening to the staff.

Bought This category is purely based on showing. You will get not more than 30 seconds to

show of your costume.

Video and audio

We will not be using any video or audio delivered by the contestants. During the

category there will be playing random music.

Reference pictures

We need (a) picture(s) of you wearing the cosplay.

Rules & conditions for this category

1 More than 80% of the costume is bought. (We will check if the costume is really bought!)

2 There are only 20 slots available.

3 Applying on the day of contest is possible when there are slots left.

Beginner This category is for those who want to show their own creations, but dont want to

compete against the pro’s. You will get 1,5 minute to show of your costume and put

on a show for the audience,

Video and audio

- To be able to participate we need to have 1 document which holds a video

with the audio added to that document. Loose documents will not be accepted.

- Formats accepted: MP4

Reference and progress pictures

- We need (a) picture(s) of you wearing the cosplay.

- We need pictures of the making progress.

Rules & conditions for this category

1 You must wear a self-made costume.

2 You may use small props/shoes that were store bought! (max. 25 cm for a bought prop)

3 You may use any self-made props.

4 There are only 20 slots available.

Pro’s This category is for you to prove that you’re the one and only pro. You will get 1,5

minute to show of your costume and put on a show for the audience.

Video and audio

- To be able to participate we need to have 1 document which holds a video

with the audio added to that document. Loose documents will not be accepted.

- Formats accepted: MP4

Reference and progress pictures

- We need (a) picture(s) of you wearing the cosplay.

- We need pictures of the making progress.

- We need (a) picture(s) of you wearing the cosplay.

1 Costumes are allowed to be bought or self-made. (If bought, please bring this to our attention)

2 You may use props up to 2 meters.

3 The group consists of a maximum of 5 people.

4 You may use any type of decoration/scenery if nessecary. (please contact us before-hand about this!)

5 There are only 10 slots available.
