Dubai is the second largest of the seven Emirates and is considered the business capital of the UAE and the Middle East. The city is
popularly known as the "City of Merchants" due to its long history of trade. Dubai is a unique blend of East and West: a fascinating
pot-pourri of oriental charm and western modernity. Your tour will take you past the world-renowned 7-star Burj Al Arab hotel,
offering excellent photo opportunities. Next you will drive to the Jumeirah Mosque(photo stop), a magnificent example of modern
Islamic architecture, followed by the World Trade Centre, the city's leading landmark of the region. Then, in complete contrast, you
will have the panoramic drive arround the old Al-Bastakia area of Dubai, where you will be able to admire the old houses with their
characteristic wind towers. These structures were designed to cool the buildings in the days before air conditioning. Your journey
through the city will allow you to visit popular landmarks, such as the eighteenth-century Al Fahidi Fort, which now houses a
museum. It will follow a creek crossing with a typical boat Abra and a visit at the spice market. Finally you will visit the huge gold souk,
which offers exquisite gold jewellery at prices lower than anywhere else in the world.
Please note: Because of the differences in temperature between the places visited and the air-conditioned vehicles and the
temperature outside, we recommend that you wear a light cotton jumper. The order of the itinerary may vary. The tour departure
could be in the morning or afternoon.

This is the ideal excursion for anyone wishing an insight into the Hindu religion. You will leave the pier aboard a coach to travel to the
Gateway of India, where you will board a motor launch for the one-hour trip to Elephanta Island. Upon arrival, in order to arrive to
the caves it is necessary to travel a distance of approximately 20 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by train to the base of the steps. After
a climb of 120 steps you will arrive at the caves entrance. The caves date from the eighth century and contain remarkable reliefs
depicting episodes from Indian mythology. Your guides will bring to the panels to life, explaining the stories behind the scenes. The
carvings centre on the life of Shiva (the Destroyer), but the most impressive panel depicts the trinity of Brahma (the Creator), Vishnu
(the Preserver) and Shiva (the Destroyer). You will then return by motor launch to the Gateway of India, where you will board a
coach that will take you back to the ship.
Please Note: The order of the itinerary may vary. There is only one train; in the rare event of it not running, passengers will have a

When you see modern Bombay it is hard to envisage a fort in the city, but it was indeed once home to a fort built by the British and
although nothing of the walls remains today, the various monuments built over the years bear witness to a bygone era. You will walk
through parts of the Heritage Precinct with a guide who will accompany you on a trip down memory lane. Each building has a story
that contributes to the special history of the city. As the Fort district covers a large area, you will board a coach for part of the tour,
driving past the General Post Office, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (Victoria Station), Municipal Corporation building, St
Xavier's College, the Western Railway Headquarters and Bombay Gymkhana until reaching the Cathedral Church of St Thomas. You
will alight here to visit the cathedral, before commencing a walking tour that will take in the Flora Fountain, Bombay University, High
Court buildings, David Sassoon Library, Army and Navy building, Jehangir Art Gallery and Prince of Wales Museum (outside visits
only). Your walk will end at the Gateway of India and you will have some free time for shopping in Colaba Causeway. From here we
proceed to Mahatma Jyotibha Phule Market, famous for Fruits, Flowers and Pet Market, all under one roof. Later we visit Chor
Bazaar (Thieves Market), where you may find all products (electronics / Automobiles / Textiles / etc) sold at a very cheap price.
Thereafter you return to the pier by coach.
Please Note: The order of the itinerary may vary. Dollars are accepted in Colaba Causeway. Guests must be in good physical health,

You will start your tour by driving to Fort, which is not actually a fort, but a district with many fine and important buildings. You will
alight at the Town Hall-Asiatic Library for your walking tour, passing the Horniman Circle Gardens, laid out in 1860, on your way to
the Cathedral Church of St Thomas (outside visit only). You will continue your walk among beautiful neoclassical buildings until
reaching the Flora Fountain, and then on to the General Post Office, High Court and University building (outside visits only).
At the end of the walking tour you will drive to the Victoria Terminus, a remarkable example of Victorian Gothic architecture in India
that was built in 1887 and named after Queen Victoria to commemorate her Golden Jubilee. After visiting the station, now known
as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, you will continue to the Afghan Memorial Church of St John, built between 1847 and 1858 in
the Early English style with a 58-metre spire. The church was built to commemorate the soldiers who died in the first Afghan war.
Your last stop before lunch will be the Gateway of India, one of the city's landmarks, which was the entrance to India before the
advent of air travel. The monument is located opposite the Taj Mahal Hotel and was built to commemorate King George and Queen
Mary's visit to India in 1911. The 26-metre high stone archway is the first of the city's landmarks seen by visitors arriving in Bombay
by sea. After visiting the monument, you will proceed to the hotel for lunch.
After lunch you will drive to Crawford Market, probably the last bastion of British Bombay, poised between two worlds - the Fort
district and the narrow streets of the old town. The market looks like something out of Victorian London, with its sweet smell of hay
and 15-metre high awning.
You will then drive to the Banganga Tank and temple complex, a huge pool that is almost hidden amidst the city buildings. Several
small temples surround the pool and people throng the place throughout the day to offer prayers. The tank is fed by a spring, whose
source is believed to be an underground offshoot of the Banganga, or Ganges, that was created by an arrow (bana) shot by Rama.
Please Note: The order of the itinerary may vary.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes, suitable clothing is recommended for entrance to places of worship. Guests must be in good
physical health, this excursion is not recommended for guests with mobility problems. There will be lots of walking. Space is limited,

This tour is a unique voyage of discovery into the twenty-first century that has to be experienced to be believed. Based on German
technology, the Maglev train is an engineering breakthrough. This unique travel experience has just been revealed to the public, and
you can be among the first to ride this super-high-speed transport system without wheels or rail friction. Your journey begins with a
drive to the Long Yang Lu Railway Station, where you will board the Maglev Train. Once on board, sit back and relax as this
comfortable new vehicle reaches speeds of 430 kmph (267 mph). The Maglev (magnetic levitation) train will whisk you away on a
short journey to nearby Pudong Airport, as you marvel at being aboard the fastest means of transport on land. After a short stop the
Maglev will take you back to Long Yang Lu Station. Following your exciting journey, you will board the coach to visit the futuristic
Lujiazui financial district. Located in Pudong on the east bank of the Huangpu River, the waterway on which Shanghai was founded, it
is China's self-proclaimed Wall Street and is home to wide avenues and high-rise buildings that didn't even exist before 1993. You
will continue your glimpse into the future with a visit to Jin Tao, one of the buildings representing Shanghai in the 21st century. The
building was inspired by the American firm Skidmore Owings & Merrill and was built by the group Shanghai Jian Gong .It includes
offices and commercial areas. Then we will head to the 88th floor from where you will see a magnificent view of Shanghai. Finally
you will drive back to the ship.

INFORMATIONS
After leaving the port you will drive to the Bund, Zhongshan Road is a wide avenue along the Huangpu River. The newly renovated
promenade between the Wusong River and the Old Town is known as The Bund, the former “Wall Street “ of the foreign powers.
The name itself reflects those colonial days: “Bund” is an Anglo-Indian word meaning embankment or quai. On the west side of the
Bund, people hurry along, darting in and out of office buildings, while the side that fronts on the river is used for strolling and
recreation. In the evening, the esplanade that traces the water line is dotted with young couples walking hand in hand and whispering
quietly to each other. Next stop, you will drive to Yuyuan Garden, the only fully restored classical Chinese garden in Shanghai. It was
inaugurated during the Ming dynasty and covers a total area of 20,000 square metres. Although the Garden occupies less than five
acres, it perfectly demonstrates the sophisticated art of combining several different elements to create a world in miniature. Pavilions
are ingeniously juxtaposed with passages, small hills and carefully selected, strategically positioned rocks, lotus ponds, bridges,
winding paths, trees and shrubs.Next you will visit the Shanghai Museum, which boasts a collection of 120,000 pieces of ancient
Chinese art belonging to 21 different categories, including bronze, ceramics, calligraphy, painting and sculpture. The collections of
bronzes, ceramics, paintings and calligraphy are the most distinctive. Finally you will board the coach to drive to the French
Concession for a sightseeing tour. During the 1920s and '30s the French Concession was famous for its lawlessness and
decadence. This spirit of anarchy also attracted political activists and one of the houses in the district was the venue for the First
