Costumes & Props Costumes: Suits o Chirag – Protagonist Black Suit Black Tie White Shirt Black Formal Shoes Black Sunglasses Blue Chequered Shirt Black Jeans Boots Brown Belt o Jaidev & Mitesh – Antagonist Grey & Blue Suit White Shirt Black Tie Black Formal Shoes Props: Dog Tag Mobile Phone The costume’s we used and included in our film opening shows the verisimilitude. This is because we have gone with a dark coloured outfit for our protagonist, which is a navy chequered shirt, black jeans, boots and a typical agent/spy suit combination (Black shoes, suit and tie with white shirt). For our antagonists we chose suits. We decided to go with dark colours for our outfit because we referred back to our target audience research focusing on the question “what costumes and props do you see in an action movie”. From this, our audience mentioned dark clothes mentioning black. We chose suits for our antagonist because suits are one of the costume conventions in an action movies referring to agents (antagonists). So from the costumes it connotes the verisimilitude of our film opening, and connotes we have chosen the correct costumes that fits in an action film. The diegesis also can be mostly connoted from our antagonists costume as well as our protagonist. Our costumes can foreshadow to our audience that our movie will include running, killing, and murder, this can be shown from the looks of our protagonists and antagonists

The costume’s we used and included in our film opening shows the verisimilitude.

For our film opening we only used one prop, which was a dog tag, which can be seen on our protagonist hand at the start. We decided to use a dog tag because our protagonist is a former army recruit and the dog tag is his identity, and only memory. So from this we used this to connote the verisimilitude of our film using props that can be seen in some army officers. The diegesis of our film opening will not connote much from our prop, which is used in the first few minutes. However we decided to use fewer props but one effective prop, which can foreshadow to some sort of narrative and plot to our audience. A dog tag is normally seen around army officer’s neck, so from this we decided to use just one prop but yet being effective.
