Homework #1
• Find an article concerning a new discovery in physics/astronomy/chemistry/geology
• Write about why this is an important discovery and staple it to the article and hand it in
![Page 16: Course](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070415/56814efe550346895dbc8d30/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)

Review #1
• This man is OFF the wall. He's hilarious. I honestly look forward to this class like no other. He mumbles sometimes, but he is SO funny. Also, his brilliance is obvious. Take this guy's classes!
![Page 21: Course](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070415/56814efe550346895dbc8d30/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)
Review #2
• This class sucks. He doesn't teach anything. the powerpoints are indecipherable. the formulas don't make any sense. The tests are hard, and he sucks.
![Page 22: Course](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070415/56814efe550346895dbc8d30/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
Review #3
• Like what everyone else said. Pretty straightforward teacher, you do need to study for the exams though if you want a good grade. Drops lowest test and a couple lowest HW's. He is funny at times.
![Page 23: Course](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070415/56814efe550346895dbc8d30/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
Now
• We take a short quiz
![Page 24: Course](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070415/56814efe550346895dbc8d30/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
Mnemonics
• My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nachos
• My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas
• Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto
![Page 25: Course](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070415/56814efe550346895dbc8d30/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
Models
• When you have a model of how something works, you should be able to predict what will happen
• If observations do not fit the model, either the observations or the model is wrong
![Page 26: Course](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070415/56814efe550346895dbc8d30/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)

Laboratory
• Everybody should get their pennies out.
• Test the question:– Does the mass of pennies change over time?
