The tour began after a brief Power Point presentation and luncheon at the Columbia River Inn, Kalama WA. The presentation outlined projects completed in several watersheds around Cowlitz County. The District uses a volunteer approach with an emphasis on reducing additional property loss from erosion while providing habitat for fish, and wildlife. This year’s tour focused on hardships of local property owner’s vs the bureaucracy of piecing grants together to accomplish the need.
