Widespread globalization- People ofdifferent cultures today live togethereverywhere in the world
More opportunities to interact withforeigners in many aspects(domestically, business, work, etc)

Three Parts of CQ
The Head / Cognitive (rote learning aboutthe beliefs, customs, and taboos of foreigncultures, the approach corporate trainingprograms tend to favor, will never prepare aperson for every situation that arises, nor will itprevent terrible gaffes),
The Body / Physical (one will not disarm onesforeign hosts, guests, or colleagues simply byshowing that one understands their culture;ones actions and demeanor must prove thatone has already to some extent entered theirworld), and
The Heart / Emotional/ Motivational(Adapting to a new culture involves overcomingobstacles and setbacks. People can do that onlyif they believe in their own efficacy).

One World

Conclusion
In our globalized world it is inevitableto meet more and more people ofdifferent ethnicities and cultures, and
interaction with them is unavoidable.
We would need to understand eachother better, which is to say having a
higher Cultural Quotient, if we aregoing to start living and workingtogether.
