PLUGLOK Bleeder Plugfor Safety and PressureReleaseEvery UNIBOLT Choke comeswith the PLUGLOK safetysystem. The bleeder plugfunctions to indicate unexpectedpressure as well as a means torelieve trapped body pressure.The bleeder plug insures safetybecause it must be removedbefore the nut member can beunlocked to open the choke formaintenance.

Coupling vs. Threadsfor SafetyThe UNIBOLT coupling betweenthe body and yoke is a uniquedesign feature that ensuressuperior reliability and safety overother methods. The connection ismade by means of the UNIBOLTinterlocking shelf design ratherthan by conventional threads orflanges.

The UNIBOLT coupling betweenthe body and yoke (adjustablechokes) and body and blankingplug (positive chokes) provides ahigher degree of safety thanconventional threads or flangesdue to the greater amount ofmetal in shear. There are nothreaded or flanged connectionsbetween component parts, andthe choke may be dismantledquickly for change of stem seatsor beans.

Advantage...Easy AutomationThe UNIBOLT Adjustable Choke iseasily automated with pneumaticactuation. Yoke adapter assem-blies for Fisher actuators are astandard design.

Easy MaintenanceOnly common tools are requiredand there are no multiple bolts toloosen and remove. Parts areinterchangeable and the seal ringis reusable. Installation, partsreplacement, and other field workare simple.

In adjustable chokes, ACME PowerThreads on the reduced diameterof the stem facilitate insertionthrough the packing assembly.Chevron-type packing, com-pounded with Teflon requires nolubrication. The stem seat andgasket can easily be removed forinspection and replacement ifnecessary.
