1. Get Started!

Create a Facebook Page by going to this link: https://www.facebook.com/pages/browser.php

Click on the “Create Page” button

2. Fill out the form

Select which category suits the page best and fill out the form.

3. Basic Information Upload a profile pic for the page, Invite Fans and

Include the Business’ information. (I will teach you how to create optimized profile pictures for the page at the latter

part of the presentation)

4. Custom Page Creation Now here’s the fun part it’s time to create the custom tabs for the

page. Go to this link to Install the app:https://www.facebook.com/iwipa?sk=app_191494420889273

A. Click on the install iwipage link on the left hand corner of the page.

B. Then the “Click here to install for free!” button will appear on the right frame. Click that button!

You will be taken to a page where it will ask if you will allow iwipa to make changes to your FB page and get information. Click “Allow”

Then it will ask you to select which page you would like to install iwipa to.

Select the page from the dropdown list

Click to continue

6. Start Customizing the tab!

Now you can start customizing the tabs. Activate the page then to the admin page and add content!

The Twitter Widget

Getting the widget and customizing it is easy. Go to twitter.com and look for the resources link at the bottom of the page. Or if you can’t find it use this link: http://twitter.com/about/resources

You should see this screen.

Just click on the Widgets Section to go and start building the widget!

It may look like that we should select facebook here but we are creating a website inside facebook, so we should use the widgets for website use.

The Twitter Widget

We want people to view the business’ most recent “tweets” so we will use the Profile Widget.

Now customize it!

-Put the business’ twitter username in the box provided

-Set the number of tweets that you want the people to see, Include the scrollbar and toggle a few other settings in the preference section.

-Customize the color scheme of your widget the preview will show you how it looks like while you’re editing it.

-Set how big you want the widget to appear, in this case we should set the width to 520px since that’s how wide the FB display page is

(any number beyond 520 will not display properly)

Grab the code and integrate it to your FB page!

Now let’s go to FB and go to iwipa’s admin page to paste the code.

Select in which page you want the widget to appear

Click this bar to go to thepage editor.

Make sure that you already have a “media box” ready for the widget. If you don’t, add one first. If you do not now how to add a media box, watch the iwipa tutorial video again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=H0jiMvwF74s

Click edit to launch the editor window

Click source before pasting the codeonce the source button is highlightedpaste the code then hit save

A few more steps and we are done!

Click Settings to launch the Configuration window

Put a check on the Run in Iframe checkbox and click Save Settings

Booshaka is an application made to measure fan interactions with your page. It’s a great way to recognize fans for promotion and increase activity on your page.

We are using the free version, just go towww.booshaka.com and click install

After clicking on install you will be asked to login with your FB credentials. You will be redirected to the booshaka site again and will be asked to select which page you wish top add the app to.

Your account will not be active for at least 48 hours. But after the wait period you can use the app and it will be displayed on your page.

Recognize button – displays yourtop 10 fans on your facebook wall.

Share button – will post the news thatthat the top fans tab is available for viewing on your page.

Invite button – will send a message toyour friends to check out where they rankon the page.

The Summary tab shows some statsabout your page.

Optimized FB profile pics Now this is fairly easy. To maximize the use of the default pic, you

can create or crop a picture using banner style resolution. If you have basic Adobe Photoshop skills this will be a breeze for you, just make sure that your canvas size is 540px high and 180px wide. Have fun creating designs!
