Creating the Digipak
Using photoshop

Laying out the images
• I started to create my digipak by laying out my chosen images on the four panels of the digipak. In my mock up I was originally going to put the image of the guitar and hands on the back cover, I decided to swap the image of the trees around, to create a simpler back cover.
• I used the ‘place’ to resize and position the images where I wanted them. • I then used the oval tool to create the CD effect on the inside right panel, then used the opacity tool, so that the
image behind wasn’t completely blocked out.

Rectangle tool
• Once I was happy with the layout of the images I next used the rectangle tool to create the boxes which would form the background of my text which I would then add later on.
• I used the opacity tool again for the back cover box, as I wanted the track names to be clear against the dark image behind, but I didn't want to obscure the photograph completely.

Adding Text
• I then added text the didgipak, I started off with the website on the back cover, using size 45 font. • When adding the text I made sure the text layer was above the rectangle layer, so that the text could be seen over the top.• Next I added the album title and artist name to the spine of the digipak, again size 45 font.• Lastly, I added the title and artist name to the front cover., using size 70 font so this would d stand out to the audience.

Adding features
• Lastly, I added features which are typical of any digipak such as bar code, record label logo etc...• I used the place tool again to add an image of the ‘rough trade’ logo • I used a bar code font fro dafont to create a bar code for the didgipak back cover.

Adjusting After creating the digipak I did some fine tuning by moving some of the features around to make the layout appear more professional and flowing.I also added a copyright logo to the back cover, which I decided to add after looking at other didgipak and noticed the all of them features this logo.
To the left is my finished digipak.
