ARTIST STATEMENT

I believe in the possibilities of maybe, to venture and eventually find something in return. Maybe is the hope to a yes yet it can be an awkward answer to a no. It is the word closest to translate impossible dreams to reality. Although it is a grey area of wavering decisions, it is the path of turning black to white. To tie this to the spirit of the windglider, a term joining the winds of change and the action of gliding, I long to be a rider gliding through be it hurricanes, gust or a breeze, capable of forging my own path not determined just by the wind.

HELPA recycling conservation project, poster depicts graphical icons and characters from waste seeming to scream for help. This project aims to trigger memory of the product’s usage, and give second thoughts of its possible value before throwing them away.

A CONVERSATION WITH TIMEAn illuatration book conveying my frustrations and thoughts of coping with time, especially when facing deadlines. Book takes a humourous approach imagining various situations and state of mind when confronting with time, as a person.

OPEN / CLOSE

A formal study of grey using only stamps and then the stamped image is manipulated across 15 square panels. The image is comprised of the letter Z forming an act of opening and closing across the panels.
