The Bachelor of Fashion provides the skills and knowledge required to work as a fashion designer of the future. This course covers all aspects of the fashion industry as well as the creative and technical knowledge required for the industry.

Learning outcomes You will learn about fashion theory, design elements and principles, CAD illustration, patternmaking, garment construction and application of these skills in the industry. The course has a strong focus on industry and you will gain real industry skills using Gerber patternmaking technology, Apparel 21, Adobe and WGSN software. It also focuses on the business side of fashion including marketing, digital marketing and event management. In the final year you will design, pattern make and construct a showcase collection for the end of year graduate fashion parade and undertake an internship with an Australian Fashion organisation to gain real industry experience.

The Certificate III in Floristry allows you to enter the floristry industry with a recognised qualification as a florist. The floristry environments may include traditional retail floristry shops, studios and floristry businesses who sell via the internet or phone. Learning outcomes You will extend on the basic floristry practical skills and design and construct complex floristry items suitable for corporate, function, wedding and funeral work. You will also learn floristry specific operational subjects focusing on floristry stock, including recognising, receiving, storing, preparing and caring for, as well as units on sourcing floristry stock and displays and merchandising. Apprentices will be signed up in an apprenticeship and have the opportunity to compete for various awards.
