Picture Styles

Picture Styles: Photography• Usually Posed and done in a studio• Pictures are sometimes of people overlapping and this effect is probably done on a

programme such as Photoshop and the characters have pictures of themselves separately and then the pictures are Photo-shopped together to create the effect that this was all done in one picture

• Pictures are usually Brightly lit on characters and the background fades out near the edges of the picture but sometimes the pictures are dulled which adds effects and can influence a reader to either ignore your magazine or be influenced to pick up the magazine and read it

• Pictures seem mostly to be taken front on and have all the artists in one shop but there are instances where the picture is not directly in front but more to an angle that doesn’t break more that 180 Degrees as a picture of the back of a celebrity/ music artist is definitely not as influencing as a frontal picture

• when the background isn’t effects, the Mise-en-scene is mostly looking up at an object such as the sky or against a wall of some type such as wooden panelling, cracked walls etc

Fonts For the Headlines

I would like to uses this one as it is easy to read, the bars in capitals give nice effect . I would like to uses this one either for the Name of the magazine or the Title of an article/ important event. It would look food if it was multicoloured with each letter a separate colour, maybe in a pattern Like this

I would like to uses this one as the ‘Feedback on the words looks truly fantastic but the only problem is that some of the letters are hard to read This would make a good title either for The contents page or an article headline

I would like to uses this one as if the colour was turned green, it would look like a circuit board and It would make a great title for an article about the instruments or an interview with a band. used.

Fonts for text

Lucida FaxVerdanaPrestige Elite Std

These texts are easily readable, look nice and could be used for different parts

of the article such as ‘Lucida fax’ can be used for contents, ‘Verdana’ can beused on the D.P.S and ‘Prestige Elite Std’ can be used for the front cover.Prestige would suite the cover more as it has too large a spacing betweeneach letter for an article while verdana wouldn’t suite the cover’s needs as itlooks quite plain.
