HOW DO I CREATE AN EVENT?This option is only for administrators of a portalOnly certain officers/members have this optionFrom the portal home screen, click “Events”.
• Click the GREEN “Create an Event” button• Answer all questions associated with the event.

CategoryDescription This will be visible to the audience once it’s approved. Can insert image of flyer in description
When and Where Location – In this, you may write your ideal location for the event, but I will
change it once you have a location reserved

Event form is “logic” based. Your selection on this page will determine the pages that follow.
CREATING AN EVENT: CAMPUS ACTIVITIES BOARD SUPPLY CHECK OUT
Request supplies from Campus Activities Board (CAB) when submitting Event Request. • CAB only supplies equipment, NOT materials
MUST FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ON NEXT PAGE!
MUST COPY AND PASTE EMAIL OR CAB WILL NOT BE NOTIFIED OF YOUR REQUEST. Student Activities nor CAB will be held responsible for the form not being filled out correctly.
CREATING AN EVENT: ADVISOR APPROVAL
Advisor email must be correct @tamusa.edu email.
Look them up in directory if unsure.

Administrators/Officers with the “Events” permission are allowed to do this1. Create your event in JagSync2. After your event has been approved, select the Participation tab from the right-hand
toolbar.

4. Choose the users who should receive participation.• Can search in your organization• All portals• Or the FULL COMMUNITY (recommended)
3. Select Add Participants in the top right of the page.
*Tips when searching: system doesn’t always recognize first names. Try using last names.

GIVING PERMISSIONS TO OFFICERSUse the People tab to manage your organization roster.
Select a person, give them a title, and then select what you would like them to have permission to EDIT or CREATE.
