SOLID MONSTER X BOTOXBRED BY MICHAEL HINES, NE

OWNED WITH RODIBAUGH • STRESS NEGATIVE

$200 PREORDER, $100 OVERRUN, $75 LAST CALL

$29,000 XB CLASSIC PURCHASE

We went to the Crossbred Classic with one goal in mind and that was to add the final headliner to the lineup for the fall season. When we saw Rock Solid, we knew he was that big time player we were looking for!!! We would like to graciously thank our good friends the Rodibaughs for once again teaming up with us on this massive, solid black boar!

Rock Solid is just like his name implies; he is one massive, stout individual. He comes at you like a tank and leaves you with the same incredible width of skeleton. Study this one’s top and he is as opened up and square as you will find. He is absolutely chiseled from his blade to his rump. As a middle of February boar, he scanned the biggest loin eye of the entire show measuring in at 12.9!!! Rock Solid is bursting at the seams in terms of shape and muscle and is stress negative!!! This one is deep and dimensional from every aspect you view him and jet level from the side. Sum him up with being extra flexible in his stride and ultra-cool in his build, and we think this one is destined for great things to

come!!! If you’re in the market for making stout, shapely ones that can go out and win shows and doing it with a stress negative boar, then your decision is easy and should be Rock Solid!!!

SNAPSHOT X INVINCIBLE BRED BY GEORGE & MIKE WATSON

DARK CROSS • STRESS PENDING $100 PREORDER, $50 OVERRUN, $35 LAST CALL

RESERVE CROSSBRED BOAR 2012 WINTER TYPE CONFERENCE

Words cannot even begin to describe the impact that Snapshot had during his tenure at Crossroads. After his untimely death, we were on the hunt for a son that we felt could come in and continue to carry on the torch that his daddy already had in place. In starting our search we kept going back to the Watson Reserve Crossbred Boar that we had ran across while in Perry, Georgia at the Winter Type Conference. We would like to thank Alton Andrews for allowing Slingshot to come back to Indiana and go on stud at Crossroads.

Slingshot is one that is massive boned and wide based in his skeleton. He is wide and square down his top with a big, bold rib cage. Slingshot offers a dead level look with plenty of attractiveness through his head and neck and is sound and athletic when on the move. We feel that Slingshot gives us the potential to continue to build on the foundation left behind by Snapshot. Fly your way into the winners circle with Slingshot!!!

HOMEMADE 17-4 X LONG TIME COMINGBRED BY S&P SHOWPIGS

OWNED WITH DEAN MYHRE & ROBERT WEHMER FAMILY $200 PREORDER, $100 OVERRUN, $75 LAST CALL

$23,000 IN STATE FAIR RESERVE CHAMPION HAMPSHIRE BOAR

We would like to first off graciously thank two very well respected hog breeders in Robert Wehmer & Family and Dean Myhre for teaming up with us on the big time Hampshire boar. Game On was the $23,000 Reserve Champion Hampshire Boar from the 2012 Indiana State Fair. This one has a true foundation female behind his pedigree as his mother was the Cham-pion Hampshire Gilt at the 2011 Indiana State Fair Jr. Show.

We had the opportunity to view this one at the farm prior to the state fair but had to wait to own him in Indy. It took us a nice little chunk of money to secure this one but we couldn’t be more ecstatic that he came home with us! Game On is a true powerhouse for the Hampshire breed in terms of width and dimension combined with muscle and stout-ness. This one is truly busted open both coming and going and maintains that width to his top side. He is massive and dimensional in his rib and center body and dead level from the profile. Heavy boned, big footed and sound and flexible as they come sums this impressive Hampshire specimen up.

Whether your one that likes to make Hampshire barrows that can go out and win hog shows or make a killer set of elite females then here is the game you need to play! We put the ball in your court so now it’s up to you……Game On!!!

RIO BRAVO X CODE RED • BRED BY HOLLOWAY, PA $100 PREORDER, $50 OVERRUN, $35 LAST CALL

RESERVE SENIOR CHAMPION DUROC BOAR IN STATE FAIR

Going into the Indiana State Fair, we weren’t really in search of a Duroc boar until we laid eyes on the Holloway entry! When The Duke hit the ring we knew he would be a great fit to add to the trio already in place. He offers a fresh breathe of air to the Duroc bred in terms of a pedi-gree standpoint and should be a great outcross to most

of the boars out there. He was named the Reserve Champion Senior Boar due to his added stoutness of skeleton, smooth and crisp muscle shape, and flexible skeleton.

He is one that’s extra good from the side being dead level in his build and clean and extended in his look. The Duke has a massive shapely hip with a big square top that has a ditch running from his blade to his hip. Tie in his athletic stride when on the move and we feel like The Duke can make sound, shapely red hogs that are easy to sell and tough to get around. Named after the great western actor John Wayne, we feel that offspring out of The Duke can earn the same reputation he did in his movies and be some “tough hombres” that you wouldn’t want to cross paths with in the showring!!!

DIRECT HIT X DIRECT HIT BRED BY & OWNED WITH ENGELKING

$125 PREORDER, $62 OVERRUN, $40 LAST CALL

$6,750 IN STATE FAIR CHAMPION CHESTER BOAR

In discussing our plan for the Indiana State Fair, a Chester White boar that would be an excellent outcross for the Heartbreaker and Forgive and Forget lines was on our short list. To our pleasant surprise, there was actually a pair of them that surfaced in the Engelk-ing boars. We were fortunate to be able to bring both of this powerhouses home with us and couldn’t be more excited about the quartet of Chester boars we have to offer at Crossroads!!!!

Heavy Hitter is the one that beat them all to earn Champion Junior Boar and then Grand Champion Chester White Boar. He is a double bred Direct Hit being a Direct Hit bred to Hit Me’s littermate sister. Heavy Hitter excels most of the Chester boars out there in terms of base width, rib shape, and muscle mass. He is moderate in his build, impeccable in his width, and sculpted in his muscle shape. He is one that is stout in his skeleton, heavy in his bone work yet extra stylish in his look. From the side, he is up headed, deep, and ath-letic on the move! If you need more of the extras when it comes to making those sellable Chester White babies that feed out to play ball at the big ones, then make sure you are a Heavy Hitter come breeding time!!!

DIRECT HIT X WHAMMY BRED BY & OWNED WITH ENGELKING

$5,000 INDIANA STATE FAIR RESERVE SR. CHAMPION CHESTER BOAR

Hit Maker is the second half of the Engelking duo that we purchased at the Indiana State Fair. This one is royally bred being out of one of the hottest sires the breed has seen in Direct Hit and out of a littermate to Hit Me’s mother; making Hit Maker a full sib in blood to Hit Me!!!

We absolutely love the extra stoutness of bone and flexibility of skeleton that Hit Maker brings to the table. He comes at you square, leaves you square and does it in a level made, flexible package. This one from the top side of his skeleton is wide, square and descript. He too has that added look and extension needed in Chester Whites today. We feel that Hit Maker is going to make those Chester hogs that are easy to sell and tough to get around come show time due to the added look, stoutness, and balance. Leave your mark in Chester success with Hit Maker!!!

TADPOLE X S&L (DEMOLITION MAN’S LITTERMATE SISTER)

BRED BY JESSICA CORYA

STRESS NEGATIVE $125 PREORDER, $62 OVERRUN, $40 LAST CALL

PRIVATE TREATY PURCHASE FROMCORYA FAMILY SHOWPIGS

Bullfrog was the boar that the Corya Family had planned on exhibiting at the Indiana State Fair. We had this boar on our radar from an early age and after the untimely death of Tad-pole and the success he had this summer, we knew he needed to come to Crossroads before Indy. Bullfrog is bred right being sired by the breed changing Tadpole and out of a powerful S&L sow, which is a littermate to Demolition Man and was the 2011 IJSC Points Champion Spot Gilt. He resembles his daddy so much in terms of build and design being a moderate framed boar that is wide both coming and going. For being stress negative, Bullfrog has great shape and muscle with a big square top and expressive, deep hip.

In comparison to his sire, he is way heavier structured and plants and drives squarer and truer off his hind leg. Bullfrog is dead level in his skeleton, sound and flexible on the move, and has a great look to him. We have a ton of confidence that this one can carry on the legacy that Tadpole left behind in his short amount of time and knew it was a no brainer to put on stud here. If you want to jump to the forefront of making spotted hogs that are truly massive and stout yet sound and functional with good shape then make sure you take that leap with Bullfrog!!!
