Why do we do this?
• State Standards don’t say that you have to:
“Children’s services that include the following…an annual summer reading program for a minimum of six (6) weeks at each fixed location.”
7 Developmental Needs of Adolescents:
– Physical Activity– Competence and Achievement (Independence)– Self-Definition (Identity)– Creative Expression– Positive Social interactions with peers and adults
