Currently “BURINTEKH”, Ltd is the major Russian developer and producer of world competitive tools for drilling and workover oil, gas and mining wells. “BURINTEKH”, Ltd continuously develops new types of tools which promote decreasing period of well construction. The catalogue represents information about new tool in our product line – casing accessories named “BITART”. This product is the result of team work of “BURINTEKH”, Ltd and “ART-OSNASTKA”, CJSC. This tool was developed for the purpose of decreasing time of drilling-out casing accessories without damage to PDC bits cutting structure.

Designation:
It designed for fitting bottomhole assembly for the purpose of its
direction along the wellbore and protection from damage during
running and well casing.
Equipping:It is equipped with high strength guide plug made from plastic
material.
The shoe is resistant to high axial compression and bending loads
which allow using it in well construction with complex profile.
Guide plug has central circulating hole, three additional side circulation
holes and made in shoe body. The use of easy drilling plastic provides
quick drilling-out using PDC bit without damages to the bit.

Advantages (features):

• The strength of plastic guide plug used in this design is 5 times higher than the strength of concrete guide plug conventionally used in making shoes;

Shoes with plastic guide plug BITART type 120 are produced for equipping
casings in diameter 114,3mm (4 ½ in) up to 323,85mm (12 ¾ in), can be
produced with the following types of tool joints: buttress thread under
GOST 632-80, buttress thread under API 5B and premium threads TMK
FMC, TMK GF, TMK PF, TMK PF ET, VAM TOP.
The base version of shoe – BITART type 120. At customer’s option BITART
type 120 can be equipped with additional options not included to the base
set and can be produced in modification BITART type 121.
Additional options:
“Without side holes” – absence of additional side circulation holes in shoe
body.

BITART TYPE 150
Designation:It designed for fitting bottomhole assembly for the purpose of its direction along the wellbore and protection from damage during well construction of difficult wells.
Equipping:It is equipped with eccentric plastic guide plug, which rotates during casing running. Rotating in the direction of least resistance the guide plug orients the shoe during running operations allowing bypassing obstacles facilitating casing RIH in difficult wellbore sections, sharp bends and curvatures.Eccentric plug has three circulation holes directed apart fro provision qualitative flushing. Body of the shoe has three additional side circulation holes.For the cases when during casing RIH the priority is circulation through central holes only there is shoe modification where side circulation holes closed by bursting discs. In case of central holes plugging the side holes are opened. This happens by means of creation over pressure in casing. When specific pressure value is reached discs are destroyed and circulation goes through created holes. Easy drilling polymer materials are used in producing shoes. This allows drilling-out using PDC bit without any damages to the bit.

It designed for fitting bottomhole assembly for the purpose of its direction
along the wellbore and protection from damage during running as well
as preventing fluid or cement slurry backflow from annular space to
string during cementing.
Equipping:
It is equipped with high-strength plastic guide plug resistant to high
axial compressive and bending loads. Shoe mounted float-type back
valve Real Seal II™ provides reliable pressurization of tube side both
in directional and horizontal wells. Guide plug of the shoe has central
circulation hole, and the additional side circulation holes are placed in
shoe body. Modern polymer materials used in producing shoes allow
standing continuous washover cycles with muds with high content of
abrasive particles, and provide quick drilling-out using PDC bit without
bit damages.

BITART TYPE 310 AND MODIFICATIONS
Designation:
It is designed for separating spacer fluid and cement slurry squeezed
to annular space during casing cementing. It provides cleaning of
casing inner surface from cement slurry residues as well as leak-proof
fit to back valve and cementing process end signal.
Equipping:
It is equipped with high-strength plastic core covered with elastomeric coat made from wear resistant polymer material.Five-petal design provides stable running in string with firm separation of spacer fluid from cement slurry without loss of tightness across the whole squeezing interval.Qualitative casing inner wall cleaning is achieved by means of specially designed geometry of cement plug and foremost by means of special form of petals, its quantity and location.The use of modern high quality polymer materials allows plug standing high pressure differential excluding the possibility of its destroying during landing to back valve and ensuring the receiving of cementing process end signal at the surface.However, the high strength capacities the used materials provide easy drilling-out using PDC bit and do not inflict damages to the bit.

BITART TYPE 320 AND MODIFICATIONS
Designation:
It is designed for separating spacer fluid or mud and cement slurry
squeezed to annular space for the purpose of excluding the shift
zone.
It provides cleaning of casing inner surface from mud residues as
well as leak-proof fit of top cement plug and cementing process end
signal.
Equipping:
It is equipped with high-strength plastic core covered with elastomeric coat made from wear resistant polymer material.Five-petal design provides qualitative casing inner wall cleaning from mud residues and provide stable running in string with firm separation of spacer fluid or mud and cement slurry without loss of tightness across the whole squeezing interval. Burst diaphragm, which is installed in core, serves as temporary deflector brattice. After landing bottom cement plug to back valve the burst diaphragm under certain differential pressure is destroyed thus forming the channel for further cement slurry squeezing through plug to annular space. After the end of squeezing process, the bottom plug allows performing leak-proof fit of top cement plug on it and receiving cementing process end signal. Modern polymer materials used in producing plugs provide easy drilling-out using PDC bit and do not inflict damages to the bit.

Technical characteristics
Bottom cement plugs BITART type 320 are produced for casing cementing in
diameters from 168,28mm (6 5/8 in) to 323,85mm (12 ¾ in).
Base variant of top cement plug - BITART type 320. At customer’s option the
top cement plug BITART type 310 can be equipped with additional options not
included to the base set and come in the following modifications: BITART type
321.
BITART TYPE 320 AND MODIFICATIONS
Advantages (features):
• Design is fully adapted for drilling-out with PDC bit;
• Used materials are compatible for operations in environments with
liquid fuels, oils, petrol etc. content;
• Presence of additional option “rotation retention mechanism Safe
Lock™” allows excluding cement plug rotation during drilling-out,
facilitate drilling-out process, and reduce well construction time.

BITART TYPE 410 AND MODIFICATIONS
Designation:
It designed for fitting bottomhole assembly for the purpose of preventing fluid or cement slurry backflow from annular space to string during cementing.
Equipping:
It provides leak-proof fit of cement plug and receiving cementing process end signal. Sleeve mounted float-type back valve Real Seal II™ provides reliable pressurization of tube side both in directional and horizontal wells.Special design of valve unit as well as modern polymer materials allow sleeves standing continuous washover cycles with muds with high content of abrasive particles. The user of easy drilling polymer materials provides drilling-out using PDC bit without any damages to the bit.

Technical characteristics
Sleeves with float-type back valve - BITART type 410 are produced for
equipping casings in diameter 101,60mm (4 in) up to 339,70mm (13 3/8
in), can be produced with the following types of tool joints: buttress thread
under GOST 632-80, buttress thread under API 5B and premium threads
TMK FMC, TMK GF, TMK PF, TMK PF ET, VAM TOP.
Base variant of sleeve - BITART type 410. At customer’s option the sleeve
- BITART type 410 can be equipped with additional options not included to
the base set and come in the following modifications: BITART type 411, 412,
413.
Advantages (features):
• Design is fully adapted for drilling-out with PDC bit;
• Under development the valve unit was tested by back-pressure of 30MPa (300 atm.) and flushing fluid with high content of sand within 24 hours.
• Design of valve unit provides ability of its use in well of any curvature;
• Presence of additional option “Auto fill-up” allows tripping-in casing without loss of time for periodic stops for casing fill-up;
• Presence of additional option “rotation retention mechanism Safe Lock™” allows excluding cement plug rotation during drilling-out, facilitate drilling-out process, and reduce drilling-out time.

CONCLUSIONS
When using BITART accessories you receive the variety of advantages:
• Accessories deign has high strength capacities and fully adapted
for drilling-out using PDC bit;
• Absence of metal parts in accessories elements (all units are made
from modern easy drillable plastic materials) allows within small
period of time drilling BHA of previous casing;
