You will find:• Common Exception words (children need to

read and spell these words by the end of Year Two. This term’s spellings relate to this)

• Grammar, punctuation and spelling overview, including technical terminology

• Examples of questions to ask your child whilst reading

• Maths objectives

Homework

• Children are expected to read daily at home. Reading books are changed twice a week and each class will have set days once reading helpers are organised.

• Maths homework will be given out every Thursday and should be handed in the following Monday.

• Spellings for the term are in the homework folder and will be assessed through dictation every Friday. This term we are focusing on the common exception words.
