PhD, Master or Fellowship research title: (Academic honors or distinctions)
PhD: ¤ PhD (Physiology): “ Studies on the activity of adipose tissue lipases in states of carbohydrate-lipid metabolic disorders”. Adipose tissue and plasma lipoprotein lipases were measured during fasting and feeding, and under different conditions of experimental hypelipemias.
Master: ¤ M.Sc. (Physiology): “ Studies on the effects of glucocorticoid hormones on fibrinolysis”. The effects of hydrocortisone on the fibrinolytic activity were studied in dogs. In vivo and in vitro experiments were done to reveal possible mechanisms of glucocorticoid action on fibrinolysis.
¤ M.Sc. (Pediatrics): “ Acute liver failure in childhood”. The striking metabolic changes and disturbances in vital organs associated with acute liver failure were reviewed. The different etiological factors, diagnostic techniques and management strategies were discussed.

Scientific Publications I have published a series of handbooks concerning medical physiology. These books aim to supplement vivid lecturing with no need to extensive texting. In addition, they provide the students the chances to prepare the material before the lecture and to interact more freely during the lecture time instead of the involvement in writing full lecture notes. Moreover, these books may provide a starting point for further study and discussion of the learned information.
During the period of teaching as a professor of physiology and neuroscience in King Faisal University and University of Dammam I published these handbooks as a single author
