Site Survey, Episkopi-Kandou, Cyprus. June 1986 (Director - Dr. Diana Buitron-

Oliver) --During this season, I worked as site photographer, draftsman and registrar. My duties included cataloging and systematic storage of the objects found on the survey through written records indicating the location of the finds, photographic reproduction of the significant finds and drafting (drawing) profiles of pottery shards that could be studied and analyzed at the end of the survey. (Xeroxed samples available)

Study Season, Sotira-Khamenoudia, Cyprus. August 1985 (Director - Dr. Stuart

Swiny, Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute) My primary duty was to create a computer database of the cataloged objects recovered during the previous seasons of excavation for use in publication of the Bronze Age site of Sotira. One purpose of the database was to aid in locating the find spots for the objects on site plans, thus reconstructing the excavation on paper.

RESEARCH AND CREATIVE ACTIVITY: Exhibitions: (Preparation for the following museum shows entailed selecting from storage the objects that would be displayed. I then researched the archival records and publications dealing with the types of objects selected for the purpose of designing the

labels that would be placed in the display cases with the objects. The label information included the type of object, its provenience, date and a description. In addition to the individual labels, additional information on larger plaques regarding the general history, use, manufacture, etc. would be part of the exhibit in order to give the viewer a context for the objects on display. My duties also included the design and arrangement of objects within the display cases, the selection of fabrics to be used for the displays and the installation of the objects prior to the exhibition. When the exhibit ended, I then returned the objects to storage and updated any archival information that needed it.)
