July 2013-November 2013Project Manager- A Moment’s Peace Theatre CompanyManagement of the “I Could Eat A Horse: Films about Food” project; an ambitious participatory project working with groups across Scotland to engage in a debate about food and the food industry. Working in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeenshire and Dumfries & Galloway.

I hired and coordinated artistic teams and community groups in each area, was fully responsible for all administrative task, staff liaison, sourcing of participants in all 4 areas, communicated with venues, dealt with PVG, finance and budget – plan and support the delivery of workshops to create 12- 5 minute film that explore how food and the food Industry affect people on a personal level, as well as asking what this might say about our food industries and understandings of them today.

Commissioned to devise and co-ordinate a fresh, innovative and malleable strategy that allows internal activity within the RCS to instigate relationships with external communities and organisations that are distinct in culture. This strategy spans over 3 years.

Responsibilities include; project management tasks, administration, delegation and communicating with various UK organisations.

January 2013-March 2013Lead Artist and Drama Tutor-Running on the Cracks-Tron Theatre LTDI was commissioned by the Tron Theatre to create and develop a creative programme of activity, which educationally supported their in-house production of Running on the Cracks.

Responsibilities; I devised and led a pre and post workshop to various client groups in Glasgow and surrounding areas. They ranged from mainstream school students to vulnerable young people who have or still are experiencing running away. In collaboration with Aberlour, I co-coordinated the programme over 3 months.

September 2012-March 2014Lead Facilitator- How to Build-Lead Tutor-Creative Arts Education ProjectLead artistic & tutor for an Arts in Education project called ‘How to Build’. Supported by Creative Scotland and East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture Trust; this process was a unique opportunity for myself and a skilled team made up of 2 artists, 1 teacher who desired to learn more about arts in education processes and 1 youth worker. Our key goal was to use the arts as a means to promote creativity with our most disadvantaged young people enabling them to explore their environment and their connection and relationship with the community.

I was responsible in co-ordinating this creative learning journey, personal planning and reflective journals of each student who participated. I lead all monitoring and evaluation of the programme and provided regular feedback to my manager. I was in charge of hosting and participating in regular progression meetings with colleagues, fellow artist, partners, steering groups and managers. I was keen to siphon more support for those participants who sought further professional development opportunities in the creative industries and I was responsible in developing those individual interests through sign posting to further opportunities and partner organisations who could support these interests.

September 2012- September 2014Lead Artist and Drama Tutor-Rathbone, GlasgowWorking with a group of young mothers who access a variety of weekly provision; life skills, confidence building, cooking, arts, social support etc.

My work focuses on developing confidence, building families, developing emotional literacy and strengthening resilience. Classes run 2 hours weekly and are having a very positive impact for the young women and their families.

April 2012-January 2013Lead Artist-SHINE-Toonspeak Young People’s Theatre & LifelinkLead Artist on SHINE. A unique project run in collaboration with Lifelink.I have created a sessional drama programme for young people and young mothers aged 14-25 in the North East of Glasgow. Co-facilitated with a Lifelink coach each session (between 6 and 12 per term) is creative and collaborative and leads to a sharing of the work that the group produce- public or private. The ambition of the project is to develop in these young people: confidence, aspirations, skills and links to employment and further education.

Responsibilities include- project management, administration, budgeting, marketing programming of sessions and activities, mentoring and supporting personal development

Administrative based role co- and co-leading a project called ‘Hello! Glasgow’. Responsibilities included; word processing, creating databases, organising travel and co-

ordinating staff, contacting youth organisations, writing project copy and marketing the project, managing invoicing and finance, liaising with venues and making bookings and co-ordinating young people to lead workshops.

April 2011-September 2012Creative development and drama facilitator-Eco DramaWorking Freelance in collaboration with Eco Drama I collaborated in devising, writing and delivering a creative educational tour, ‘The Oil Of Life’ an interactive drama workshop runs over 2 sessions. Tackling the realities of Peak Oil and its impact on sustainable living.

Responsibilities; to create a live document, which integrated the curriculum for excellence with creative conventions to make it accessible for students and teachers to participate in. Teaching and collaborating with S1-S2 pupils we would engage in creatively acknowledging environmental and sustainability issues, address confidence building and listening skills

June 2008-December 2013Support Worker-Key HousingIn this capacity I supported people who have learning disabilities. I delivered high quality person centred support to individuals and couples, focussing on financial and social, moral and emotional support. Support is offered within and out with their homes.

Responsibilities also include IT skills, administration, understanding vulnerable adult policies, file reporting, and developing support plan developments and integration.

October 2005-January 2013Freelance Drama Teacher: Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow I collaborate with and direct P3 to S6 and also adult drama participants (aged 18-65) in a variety of drama processes. Classes look at devised theatre, improvisation, physical theatre, set texts and audition preparation.

Responsibilities; I develop a creative programme of weekly activities focusing on skill building, personal development and performance skills. Administration and project management are key skills in this job as is the understanding and application of child protection policies and health and safety procedures.

September 2003-2005Focus West/Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Entry to the Creative Industries

Working with Focus West in collaboration with the RCS to write and lead a pilot drama project working with S5-S6 pupils who are making choices for their futures. This project targeted those students wishing to involve themselves within the creative industries.

Personal Skill & Experiences:

I am a great team player and an excellent listener and communicator, a good mediator and I will always try to advance for compromise.

I love challenges and the relish the concentration required to problem solve. I always want to expand and develop my learning and understanding and I strive to reciprocate this to those I work with- colleagues, students and clients alike.

I am an excellent motivater, reliable and very committed to every task in hand. I am passionate about what I do and will always stand up for what I believe in.

I believe in inspiring change and that positive empowerment gives strength to individuals and communities.

Who I am, what experiences I have and my philosophies are at the core of how I teach, communicate and work with people.
