Biography
Slovenian Mezzo-soprano Tina Drole was born in 1994 in Ljubljana. At an early age she startedtaking piano and organ lessons. By 2010 her interest in music led her to study piano and later musictheory at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana. In January 2018, she graduated with aBachelor of Arts in voice at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, under theguidance of Professor Karlheinz Hanser. She continued her Master studies at the RoyalConservatory of Brussels, under the guidance of Professor Valerie Guillorit and graduated withMaster of Arts in June 2020. She participated in several masterclasses of Brigitte Fassbaender,Helmut Deutsch and Margreet Honig.
Tina Drole is a prize winner of many national and international voice competitions. In 2019 shewon the 3rd Prize in the discipline Lied duo with the pianist Virgile Van Essche at the 5thInternational Music Competition Triomphe de l'Art in Belgium.
In the past season she regularly appeared as a recital and concert singer. She was recently selectedfor the Udo Reinemann International Masterclasses 2019/20, to study with renovated singers andpianists such as Christine Schäfer, Urszula Kryger, Malcolm Martineu, David Kuykenin, BarbaraBonney, Joseph Middleton and Thomas Oliemans ( i n collaboration with the opera house LaMonnaie in Brussels).
Among her first debuts are: Third lady – Magic flute, Sesto and Annio – La clemenza di Tito (W. A.Mozart), La Ciesca – Gianni Schicchi (G. Puccini), Tolomeo – Giuglio Cesare (G. F. Handel),Brautjungfer – Der Freischütz (C. M. Weber).
