Remedi October 2014 - present - Reparation Supervisor, Graphic Designer + Sessional Artist Remedi are a voluntary sector organisation with charitable status specialising in the delivery of restorative services, predominantly in the criminal justice arena. I have two main areas of responsibility at Remedi: supervision of young people and designing workbooks for restorative justice practitioners. In my role as a supervisor I observe and mentor young people as they carry out their community reparation orders. I also work with young people as a sessional artist. I organise and deliver creative workshops in several areas such as poster design and screen printing.These workshops are tailored to tackle sensitive issues involved in the restorative justice process, such as community and self awareness. TiPP July 2014 - present - Sessional Artist TiPP provides arts based schemes to young people involved in the Criminal Justice System. My role with TiPP was to assist in the delivery of the Bronze Level Arts Award, accredited by Trinity College London. This included assisting other artists, one to one tuition, chaperoning and liaising with the youth offending team. I led my own branding workshop; for which I created a lesson plan, the activities, resources, and worksheets. This role required me to be organised, creative, communicate effectively and to be an approachable, empathic role model for the young people. Reclaim April 2013 - January 2014 - Volunteer Mentor: RECLAIM is a multiple award winning leadership and mentoring project based in Manchester. Over a nine month period I worked as a volunteer mentor, assisting on a project working with 11- 13 olds in Moss Side. I assisted in the delivery of a number of workshops, including drug education, employment and interview guidance, pitching a pilot TV show to the BBC, photography and creating products for sale at the Manchester Youth Markets. The role required me to be a trustworthy, empathic and responsible role model for the young people and to be able to communicate and listen effectively. In addition to assisting with the overall project, I was responsible for mentoring two of the young people throughout the project’s duration.This required me to work to build strong relationships with my mentees quickly and work closely with them in and outside the workshops. Self Employed 2012 - Present - Graphic Designer: I have worked freelance for a range of clients including The Loop, TiPP , Remedi, The Manchester College, Cassini, Fundamental, Nine Lives Media and Bridgewater Community Care NHS Trust. This has required personal organisation, project planning and management and an outgoing and friendly nature in regards to approaching clients.
