Hello Robots!
It won’t be long before someone new takes over my job of creating and editing these monthly newsletters. I must say that it was a great experience meeting and working with you all throughout the division. In this last edition of my series of newsletters, I would like to give you all an introductory address from your future LTG and current LTG-elect Rashika Choud-hary, a heads-up regarding a Relay for Life on the same weekend as District Convention, and a preview of some of the accessories being sold at Convention. But before my term in this appointed office ends, I would like your input and feedback so that I may ap-propriately aid the future Division Technology Editor. What have you liked throughout these newsletters? What can be improved on? What would be a nice addi-tion to make these more interesting? Please send me an email if you wish to help me out. Thank you all for your support throughout this year! You all have my undying gratitude and love.

A Letter from the Editor
Hey Division 38 West! My name is Rashika Choudhary,
and I am your LTG-Elect for 2012-2013! I feel honored and
am truly thankful for all your support. This all feels like a
dream come true for me, and I hope we all can work
together to reach our full potential as a division.
I have lived in the same house in Lancaster my whole life. I
am currently a Junior at Quartz Hill High School, and am
in the International Baccalaureate Program. I also have
ADHD, a mix of both the hyperactive and hypoactive type;
it’s something that has been a huge roadblock for me, but
I’ve been coping with it in a healthy and effective manner. Some things I enjoy doing in my
spare time are drawing, tennis, playing video games, watching anime, listening to music,
having in-depth conversations with others, writing, and playing with my puppy. I have a more
artistically-inclined personality, as I enjoy art, music, dance, photography, etc. I’m naturally
an emotional person, so when I can bring a simple smile to people’s faces, I feel very happy.
I joined Key Club my freshman year out of pure curiosity, to be honest. There were so many people and I wanted to see what this club was all about. I had a few upperclassmen friends that said it was worth it, so I took their word for it. However, I didn’t actually see what Key Club really was until the summer before my sophomore year. I became an active member and attended all the events I could, and ultimately ended up attending DCON for the first time. I have to admit, it was perhaps the most life changing experience. It was such an eye-opener to stand there amongst so many Key Clubbers from CNH all in one place. From then on, I was so inspired to go for my dreams and chase them with all my heart. I became my club’s secretary as well as Executive Assistant for the division. It’s been a great year serving my division, and I look forward to doing even more service with the entire division this next year.

For those of you that are attending District Convention, that’s
fantastic! Of course, not everybody can attend Convention. So for
those of that aren’t attending, do you need something to do that
weekend?
If so, then go to Relay for Life 2012 at Quartz Hill High School! You
don’t have to be a Key Clubber to attend this event - anyone can
participate in Relay for Life by forming a team and fundraising!
However, if members of your Key Club wishes to form a team and
stay over night during Relay, an advisor or an approved adult
chaperone is mandatory.
I wish the best of luck to those who are attending and fundraising,
and I hope that you all have fun if you go to this Relay!
