Tim Daemen (1975). This Belgian based trombonist writes and arranges the songs for this band, is teaching and is intensively working as a freelance musician. Tim studied at Maastricht Conservatory before going to the Cologne MusicHochschule to study with Henning Berg. His compositional style is best describe as contemporary, postbop and world music oriented. With plenty of room for improvisation, the

band’s main object.

Daniel Daemen (1977), Tim’s brother, works as a teacher, freelance musician and runs his own saxophone repair shop. Daniel is active in a wide variety of music as a saxophonist, clarinet player and composer. He studied with Toon Roos, Claudius Valk and earned his Master’s degree with Haydn Chisholm at Maastricht Conservatory. Check out Daniel Daemen Quartet at www.danieldaemen.com.

Justin van Uum (1989). This Dutch bassist works as a teacher and is a much sought after freelance musician. Justin studied electric bass with Alexander Boerner and got his Master’s degree on double bass with Philippe Aerts at Maastricht Conservatory.

Achim Bill (1989). Achim, born in the German speaking part of Belgium works as a drum teacher and freelance musician in both classical as jazz styles. Achim studied jazz drums at Maastricht Conservatory with Ron van Stratum and Arnoud Gerritse, before earning his Master’s degree at the Namur Conservatory in classical percussion.
