SUMMARY

SYSTEMS USED

A large busy factory situated in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, which

opened in May 2014 at a cost of £150 Million belonging to the world’s

largest fresh milk dairy company. This newly built factory, however,

found that the brand new walkways, lorry bays and numbering,

painted just a few months prior and weren’t performing. Using MMA

for a majority of the line marking, they had found that this system

was proving ineffective. This had dented Arla’s belief in the MMA

system. The need for new lines to be laid was made clear, with long

lasting properties and clear colours to compliment the factories new

feel.

Having lost faith in MMA, the company needed reassurance that this

was the system for them, that it could be applied quickly in an active

environment and that it would last.

The Meon team spent a great deal of time on location assessing what

was best for the Dairy site, which products would provide the best

results and supplied a fully spray-able MMA system which was fast to

lay. This system did not require any hot works; large machinery

meaning costs could be kept down. This also meant that the system

could be laid in a short amount of time minimizing impact to business.

Having lost belief in the MMA system it was key to not only provide

new lines but to restore trust. Having spent time with the site staff

and providing expert advice, Meon was able to ensure that functional,

bright and long lasting demarcations were apparent in the new

improved markings. Whilst also showing the extensive benefits of the

product, creating a shared belief in MMA lining systems.

Providing the necessary training and support, the areas to be marked

were primed with UltraOne Primer before the lines were completed

with Spectrum UltraSpray Routeway in both yellow and white.
