Dalmain fielded teams in netball(2), soccer(2) and football. The emphasis was very much on all students parcipang and enjoying compeng against other students from local schools. I would like to congratulate all of our students who represented Dalmain so well. They competed strongly and played their games in the right spirit. I am sure all of our students will have taken away some memorable moments. Well done also to our netball teams who finished first and second in their divisions. Dalmain winning the overall netball award. West Greenwood was the winning school in both soccer and football. I would like to thank parents and staff who assisted our students with support and coaching and in parcular a huge thank you to Mr Valenno who coordinated the whole day on behalf of all schools and did such a wonderful job. ASSEMBLY Please join us for our next class assembly which will be hosted by our year one students from TA 1 next Thursday, 15 June. SCHOOL CANTEEN Once again our canteen is desperately in need of volunteers. While I know that there have been a number of parents who have given up their me already this year to work in the canteen, the roster for the remaining weeks of this term is completely bare. Barbie relies on the good will of our school community to operate the canteen each week. If you are able to spare some me and help out please let Barbie know. DUG BUSY BEE - SATURDAY 17 JUNE We will be holding a busy bee in the DUG on Saturday 17 June from 2:00 - 4:00pm. All interested families and community members are invited to aend. We will be using this me to do planng and general maintenance. Bre Cowey will also be holding a compost workshop. Please see inside this newsleer for further informaon.

INTERSCHOOL SPORT - LIGHTNING CARNIVAL What a fantastic day we had yesterday for the lightning carnival at Kingsway Reserve. Dalmain fielded teams in netball(2), soccer(2) and football. The emphasis was very much on all students participating and enjoying competing against other students from local schools.

I would like to congratulate all of our students who represented Dalmain so well. They competed strongly and played their games in the right spirit. DUG Busy Bee Saturday 17 June, 2.00pm - 4.00pm

We will be holding a busy bee in the DUG on Saturday 17 June from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. All interested families and community members are invited to attend. Jobs will include planting along the top of the limestone wall, general maintenance and tidying. Brett Cowey will also be holding a compost workshop. Volunteers will need to bring gloves, shovels and other gardening tools - trowels, forks. If you are interested in helping out and getting involved in the DUG please let the front office know, respond on the Dalmain Nature Play and DUG Facebook page or see Mrs Ridley in PP1.

School Banking - Volunteers Urgently Needed!

From Term 3 we will be seeking the service of School Banking Coordinators to take over the role from the outstanding current coordinators -

Kirsty Larham and Anita Attwood. Due to work commitments, Kirsty and Anita are no longer able to run the School Banking program. If you are interested in this voluntary position, please contact the school office.

Kindy 2018 Enrolments Applications for enrolments of students entering Kindergarten or changing schools in the 2018 school

year should be made BY FRIDAY 21 JULY 2017.

As schools are closed between Saturday 1 July and Sunday 16 July, parents/persons responsible are encouraged to submit their application before the end of Semester 1 (30 June 2017).

Application for Enrolment forms can be obtained from the school’s website or the school office. Parents are encouraged to bring along their child’s Birth Certificate, Proof of Address and ACIR Immunisation History Statement when applying.

Please note the drive through area of the kindergarten is not to be used for parking.
