INTERSCHOOL SPORT - LIGHTNING CARNIVAL What a fantastic day we had yesterday for the lightning carnival at Kingsway Reserve. Dalmain fielded teams in netball(2), soccer(2) and football. The emphasis was very much on all students participating and enjoying competing against other students from local schools.
I would like to congratulate all of our students who represented Dalmain so well. They competed strongly and played their games in the right spirit. I am sure all of our students will have taken away some memorable moments. Well done also to our netball teams who finished first and second in their divisions. Dalmain winning the overall netball award. West Greenwood was the winning school in both soccer and football. I would like to thank parents and staff who assisted our students with support and coaching and in particular a huge thank you to Mr Valentino who coordinated the whole day on behalf of all schools and did such a wonderful job.
ASSEMBLY Please join us for our next class assembly which will be hosted by our year one students from TA 1 next Thursday, 15 June.
SCHOOL CANTEEN Once again our canteen is desperately in need of volunteers. While I know that there have been a number of parents who have given up their time already this year to work in the canteen, the roster for the remaining weeks of this term is completely bare. Barbie relies on the good will of our school community to operate the canteen each week. If you are able to spare some time and help out please let Barbie know.
DUG BUSY BEE - SATURDAY 17 JUNE We will be holding a busy bee in the DUG on Saturday 17 June from 2:00 - 4:00pm. All interested families and community members are invited to attend. We will be using this time to do planting and general maintenance. Brett Cowey will also be holding a compost workshop. Please see inside this newsletter for further information.
