Question from Judy Richards (Cannon Design) at 04:05 PM on 07/30/2018will there be a bid date extension to accommodate addendum #1
Official Response: Mark Bollin (The Pike Company, Inc) responded on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 at 10:33AM EDTThe response to this RFI must come from the Program Manager Savin/Gilbane as the Construction Manager does not have the authority to extend thebid date. However, the Pike Company would recommend an extension of a few days to allow the contractors to provide more competitive pricing; andin in this case allow additional time so that we may receive a bid from another electrical contractor who has previously not been bidding the RSMPprojects.Attachments:

Question from Judy Richards (Cannon Design) at 11:43 AM on 08/01/2018After review of the site conditions at the walk-through today it has been discovered that the new AHU's will not fit through the existing door or louverson the penthouse walls. Is it the intent to have to remove a portion of the outside brick wall to gain access for the (3) new units? If so who is responsiblefor this opening and corresponding infill after the units are in the penthouse. Or was it the intent of the design to have these (3) units be knock downsite built units? Please advise
Official Response: Judy Richards (Cannon Design) responded on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 at 3:11PM EDTA portion of the Penthouse wall will be removed and in-filled by the GC to allow for removal of existing AHUs and installation of new AHUs by theMechanical Contract. Question from Judy Richards (Cannon Design) at 01:11 PM on 08/01/2018 Drawing NMl0101. 1 Note AA-16 refers to ACM paper waterproofing at the eXterior bricks and at "contact of foundation walls". Does the foundation wallwhere the penetrations are occuring have asbestos waterproofing that will need to be abated? If so does this asbestos contractor do the penetrations?
Official Response: Judy Richards (Cannon Design) responded on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 at 3:33PM EDTWatts Comment: Watts AE sampled the foundation waterproofing on the concrete foundation of the F Wing at the proposed light well locations. Noasbestos was detected in samples of the waterproofing on the concrete foundation. The foundation walls are not considered to have asbestos-containing waterproofing. The abatement design does not assume that foundationpenetrations have to be performed as an asbestos abatement or disturbance project.Attachments:

Question from Judy Richards (Cannon Design) at 01:16 PM on 08/01/2018The existing ceilings in Corridors GC2.1 and DC-2.1 are designated to be removed per Note 14. The corresponding asbestos drawing HM02020. 3deignates these corridors as 2C-2 and 2P-2 and does not indicate them to be asbestos. Is that correct or should these be removedas asbestos?
Official Response: Jared Messina (Cannon Design) responded on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 at 2:37PM EDTGC2.1 / 2C-2 cannot be located. DC-2.1 / 2P-2 are drop ceilings. The HM drawings do not indicate that drop ceilings are an ACM concern. Attachments:

We cannot find any informatin on the abatement drawings. Is this a separatecontractor that we are to coordinate only
Official Response: Judy Richards (Cannon Design) responded on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 at 3:53PM EDTDetail 3 - Utility Plan Enlargement has a note "assumed locations of existing Fuel Tank to be removed (CIF), see abatement drawings foradditional information". We cannot find any information on the abatement drawings. Is this a separate contractor that we are to coordinateonly Watts Response: Watts AE was not authorized to conduct any investigation, nor authorized to prepare any fuel oil tank removal or evaluation specification,or prepare any sort of note regarding the removal or disposition of a possible fuel oil tank. Watts AE was not authorized to take any ownership for dealing with a possible fuel oil tank. The possible location of a possible fuel oil tank or tanks was noticed on an older site drawing. Subsequently the environmentalcoordinator at the Rochester City School District was contacted who reportedly conducted a review of RCSD files. No informationconcerning closure of the possible fuel oil tank was reportedly located in RCSD files. The only documentation for the tank that the RCSDenvironmental coordinator found was a drawing showing the location of a tank or tanks. The comment in note 3, on the Utility Plan Enlargement “see abatement drawings for additional information" is a bit mis-leading sinceWatts AE has no further information to offer. We recommend that the disposition of a possible fuel oil tank or tanks be coordinated with the RCSD environmental coordinator which canprovide the drawing showing the possible fuel oil tank locationAttachments:
