Dear Families
This week you should have received an interview sheet to choose a me to
talk to your child’s teacher in Week 2 next term. Please fill this in and
return it to your teacher. Miss Herbert our LAST teacher is also having
interviews for any students in the Sugar Gliders. These interviews are an
important part of your child’s learning and communica on with teachers.
We make every effort to support you with mes.
On Monday our 8 fantas c leaders enjoyed a day in Sydney with 6000
other leaders. Our favourite speakers were Andy Griffiths the author and
Cohen, a boy who has Cys c Fibrosis and has had a double lung transplant.
Cohen Ashton was inspiring and he is now an advocate for organ dona on.
I personally enjoyed Ita Bu rose. A great day was had by all.
Last Friday our amazing cross country team led us to victory at the
Crossroads Zone. Our small school ed with Elemore Vale Public School.
We had 2 first places with Finnegan Abbo and Amy Parkinson and 2
second places with Lucas McGaw and Luca Morris and 2 more
Leo Lannuzel and Samuel McClymont who made zone. We had a great day
and the weather held out to the last race. Thankyou Miss Leedham and
parents who transported and helped.
Today is Au sm Awareness day. The poster included from Miss Duncan
helps us understand Au sm Disorder and supports our many students.
Our Year 1 and 2 students will enjoy Aaron Blabey tomorrow at the
Newcastle Writers Fes val.
Don’t forget the Disco on Tuesday night and the Easter Fun Day on Friday
next week.
Please support the P&Cs fundraiser Bunnings BBQ on Sunday. Buy a
sausage at Kotara.

During Week 2 next term the P&C will be holding a
Mothers Day stall. Students are able to purchase a gi for
their mother for just a few dollars. Dona ons of gi s are
now being accepted, please bring to the office.
