Chapter 1

"Len here you go!" Rin said holding out a flower-made-crown. Lensmiled and took it but made a face. "Whats wrong Len do you not likeit?" Rin asked sadly. Len smiled again and held out the crown, "I was just

thinking it would look better on you". Rin smiled happily as Len placed itontop of her head. Prince Len and Princess Rin were the only ones left ofthe royal family of Th e Yellow Kingdom. Their parents died of a horriblefire that almost destroyed the entire palace but the two twins weresaved by two maids who escaped at the back door of the kitchenspalacd. The twins are now 6 years of age with golden hair and whiteskin. Rin always had two black ribbons that were given to her by hermother placed neatly on her shoulder length hair. Len, in another hand,tied his hair up and kept a golden locket (clock) that his father gave himat his birth. "We cant let this go on, we need total control over thiscountry!" Duke Heatherworths yelled irritated.

"Those two brats-" he began, 'calm yourself Duke I've alreadyplanned everything out" Richard, the former trusted advisor of theQueen and King calmly said, grinning. That evening Prince Len wascoming back from the garden after finally finding the flower crown thatthey left. "Im sorry Prince Len but I have strict orders from the princessnot to let you in" the guard said blocking Lens way with a spear. "What?!That cant be true Rin would nev-" he ranted when he was interrupted."Poor, poor Len but what the mere palace said was true" Richard said ina sympathetic voice, coming out of the shadows. "But Rin promised wewould always be together..." Len said remembering.

"Hey Len do you promise we'll always be together?", Rin askedlooking up from the flower crown. Len stopped swinging, "Ofcourse weretwins after all", he answered smiling. Rin looked down figediting with apiece of grass, "Pinkyswear?" sha asked holding out her hand. Lenjumped off the swing and leaned down, "Pinkyswear" he smiled andclosed his pinky with Rin and they both started laughing.

continued to run away when he fell and tripped. "Rin!", he cried into hislap closing his eyes. "Are you okay", he heared a voice say, looking uphe saw a brown haired man with a warm smile looking down on him.

"T-that cant be true...Lenwould never...", Rin cried into Richardschest, tears running down hjer cheek. "Hush now, but his majesty

insisted on leaving", he wipped away Rin tears, "He told me he couldntstand the way you acted so rashly and just couldnt take it anymorte sohe took his leave and wishes to never return", he explained gentlythough satisfaction shone on his face. "But he promised...' Rin said morequitely "Promises are meant to be broken my majesty but rest assured Ishally always stay by your side", he grinned a Rin fell asleep.

As Len trained and became educated, Rin obeyed Richard andbecame an unknowing, selfish princess. This went opn for 9 years untillthe faithfully day of when Len was ready to go back home. "Len?!Ah...I'm sorry your majesty but we still have orders to keep you out" theguard said. "But I've come back to serve my sister!" Len insisted.

"Len?!" Rin yelled as one of the palace maids adivised her of thecommotion happening in the front gates. "Your majesty please liten tome!" A woman with red hair pleaded, her eyes puffy from crying."Silence! You have no right to speak nor does your husband have theright to live!" Rin yelled irritated for being interrupted ina conversation"Guards take this peasant away and never let her in palace groundsagain!" she ordered. "No, wait your Magesty!" the girl began to say butshe was dragged out before anything could be said.
