410.16 Luminaires in Clothes Closets.(A) Luminaire Types Permitted. Listed luminaires of thefollowing types shall be permitted to be installed in acloset:(1) A surface-mounted or recessed incandescent luminairewith a completely enclosed lamp (A)(2) A surface-mounted or recessed fluorescent luminaire (B)(3) Surface-mounted fluorescent or LED luminaires identi-fied as suitable for installation within the storage area (C)

Luminaire Types Not Permitted. Incandescent luminaireswith open or partially enclosed lamps and pendantluminaires or lampholders shall not be permitted.

ONE 20-AMP CIRCUIT IS NEEDED FOR THE LAUNDRY OUTLET WITHIN 6 FEET OF THE MACHINES. AN ELECTRIC DRYER REQUIRES AN ADDITIONAL 240-VOLT DEDICATED CIRCUIT.

210.70(C) Other Than Dwelling Units. For attics and under floorspaces containing equipment requiring servicing, such asheating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment, atleast one lighting outlet containing a switch or controlledby a wall switch shall be installed in such spaces. At leastone point of control shall be at the usual point of entry tothese spaces. The lighting outlet shall be provided at ornear the equipment requiring servicing.

210.70(3) Storage or Equipment Spaces. For attics, under floorspaces, utility rooms, and basements, at least one lightingoutlet containing a switch or controlled by a wall switchshall be installed where these spaces are used for storage orcontain equipment requiring servicing. At least one point ofcontrol shall be at the usual point of entry to these spaces.The lighting outlet shall be provided at or near the equipmentrequiring servicing.
