    2013-2014 Season

    The goal is to create athletes that will gain confidence, self-respect,teamwork and sportsmanship within a disciplined, safe and funenvironment. Our staff members will have the required certifications andwill hold safety to highest measure.

    Please read this packet carefully and thoroughly. There is a requirementat the end of the handbook that must be signed by athlete andparent/guardian. The information will cover financial obligation, rules,regulations and expectations for every gym member. A mandatory parentmeeting will be held June 1, 2013. All questions will be answered to thebest of our ability at that time.

    Gym Dress code

    Practice wear is required for all practices. Two practice outfits arerequired to purchase. A schedule will be provided during the first day ofpractice. Proper attire is required for any and all classes. Properattire consists of shorts, tank tops and/or t-shirts. Spanks are requiredfor every flyer. Sports bras maybe worn during practice only.

    Cheer Competition Dress code & Expectations

    Athletes must be in full uniform, make-up and bow at time of drop off.Proper behavior must be displayed at all times while in uniform.

    Athletes are representing themselves and DEA. Team apparel must be wornwhen not performing; it is the only acceptable cover up. There is nojewelry, nail polish and/or temporary tattoos allowed.

    Athletes are required to be present at the competition for the entireduration! Athletes will be expected to sit with the entire gym. Thiswill promote bonding and unity. Coaches will be responsible for theirathletes for the entire competition. Tiny teams may have the option toleave with the permission of coaches and owners. If an athlete must leavea competition for any other reason please notify coaches in advance.

    Travel Team Expectations

    National teams are required to travel out of state. Parents and athletesare required to for pay travel expenses and are in addition tocompetition fees and monthly tuition. Athletes will be providedrestriction guidelines prior to departure for each travel competition.Competing will be the priority. The use of drugs, tobacco, alcohol andabusive language is prohibited. This behavior will result in immediatedismissal from the program. No exceptions.

    Absences and Tardiness

    Attendance is mandatory at all practices and competitions. Teams cannot

    function as individuals and 100% commitment is required. If an athlete isabsent due to an illness please contact the coach immediately. An illnessconsists of a fever and/or vomiting. Attendance will be taken at thebeginning of each practice. Tardiness is not acceptable and consequenceswill be enforced for consistent tardiness. More than 3 unexcused absenceswill be removed from the program. Summer time will have less restrictivepractice times and there will be opportunities when the gym is closed forvacation and family time. Please take advantage of this time. Oncechoreography starts there will be limited gym closings.

    Coaches Credentials

    Staff and coaches are CPR certified. Coaches are credentialed USASF tothe appropriate level of instruction by July of the current season. Othercertifications include AACCA and NYSCA. All Certifications will be postedin the lobby for review.

    Financial Obligations

    Annual Tuition consists of an 11 month season, June 2013-April 2014. Mayis registration and evaluation month. Tuition can be processed annually,pro-rated monthly or auto-debit. Annual payments and auto debit willreceive additional discounts to monthly tuition fees.

    Your placement is determined by USASF age requirements. Crossing over toa second team will be both age and skill determined.

    Discount Structure

    Sibling discount: 10% off the monthly tuition for the lowestlevel teamAnnual Prepayment: 10% off the annual tuition.

    Monthly Auto Debit: 5% discount off monthly tuition.

    Payment Structure

    Payments are due the 1st of every month. Invoices will be sent 15 daysprior to the due date.A late fee will be assessed after the 10th day of the month.Returned checks will incur a $40.00 service charge. If there are morethan two checks returned, cash or debit card will only be accepted.Cash, Checks, debit card and credit cards are accepted.

    Half year team will begin in November all costs TBD

    Accounts in Arrear-One Month- Fundraising will be required.Two months-Athlete will not participate in practice.Three months- Athlete will be dismissed from the program.

    Crossover Fees

    USASF rules and regulations require athletes to be on the required age

    appropriate team. Many athletes will cross to an additional team based onskill level and mental capability. The fees for crossovers are inaddition to the age appropriate level pricing.

    Competition fees are the required admission price the competition companycharges per athlete per team. The fees DO NOT include U.S. Finals orWorlds which require bid awarded at specific competitions. The bids willrange fromAT large bid- team is awarded the opportunity to attend but will incurall fees associated.Partial bid- team is awarded the opportunity to attend and will have aportion of the fees paid.

    Full bid- team is awarded the opportunity to attend and the fees will befully paid.Travel expenses will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Thefees are determined by the competition company. Competition fees will bepaid in $100 increments starting in July and final payment will depend onteam level.

    Choreography fees

    The fee will cover music and choreography for the team. Ourchoreographer will be scheduled for the end of the summer and ismandatory to attend. Six week notice will be given prior to choreographydates. Please schedule vacations around the dates

    Registration

    The fee to join the gym, registration provides a month of free tumbling.

    Uniform

    Uniforms are required to purchase.

    Practice wear

    Practice wear consists of two sets of shorts and shirts. These arerequired to be worn at every practice. A schedule will be provided thefirst day of practice. Cheer shoes are mandatory. Athletes will not beable to practice if not in proper shoes or practice wear.

    Bows and Make-up

    These are a required part of the uniform to be worn at ALL competitions.Bows and makeup will be available by November 1.

    Coach's fee

    The fee covers expenses incurred for the season for each coach, includingbut not limited to hotel and gas expenses. This will be a onetime chargeper team per athlete.

    Booster fee

    There are no mandatory gym fundraisers. The fee will cover expensesassociated with the booster club for the season. Boosters may assist inpurchasing of new equipment and holding gym functions such as the annualbanquet. Boosters will be a non-profit 501C and all funds must remainseparate. There will be quarterly meetings for those interested to answerany questions and review the allocation of funds. There will be manyopportunities throughout the year for individual and team fundraisers.

    Team parents are encouraged to work with the boosters to create teamfundraising opportunities.The gym will have a number of charity fundraisers during the season. Westrongly encourage our gym members to participate in them. Although,parents and the gym do not benefit financially from any of the charityfundraisers, we as a corporation feel it be most beneficial to our

    athletes. Our hope is to provide the opportunity for our athletes tothink of others and learn that small things can provide a big impact insomeones life.Our corporate charity of choice is Children Awaiting Parents.

    Children Awaiting Parents is a national nonprofit based inRochester. The mission of Children Awaiting Parent is to find lovingadoptive families for children waiting in foster care, to advocatenationally for adoption by bringing attention to children, to promoteinterest among people who may become permanent adoptive families, and toencourage adoption friendly policies.

    There will be a wall in the lobby with pictures of children that are

    awaiting adoption. We will team with CAP on numerous charity events andhope to have participation from our entire organization.

    The organization will be sponsoring many other charities in the area. Ifyou have a specific charity to sponsor, please contact Lisa or Tonya todiscuss.

    Boosters will consist of three parents, two coaches and the businessowners. If you would like to participate, nominations will be received inJune and voting will take place by July 1.

    Extra classes

    Tumbling classes will be offered several times a week at many levels.Cost for members is 25.00 a class and 45.00 for non-members. Tumblingclasses are not required however, strongly encouraged.

    Private lessons are available with our coaches. Each instructor will settheir own rates and times. Prices will vary based on experience; howeveran average rate is $25.00/ half hour. Please contact the gym instructorif unsure on a proper instructor for an athlete. If at any time there isa complaint regarding an instructor please contact the gym director orowner immediately. Private lessons are not required although it isencouraged to build individual skill.

    All classes in the athletic area are available to any athlete in ourprogram. The classes will be posted with available time and fees.

    Athlete code of conduct

    Respect, integrity and proper character are mandatory. Always be on your best behavior while in Dynamic Elite Athletic

    attire at the gym, at competitions, or out in public. Representour gym in a positive manner.

    Allstar cheer is a large commitment. We encourage you to joinextracurricular activities but it will not be at the risk ofinterrupting cheer and affecting the team's performance. You may beasked to make a choice if there is a major conflict.

    Athlete must maintain a C average to remain in the program. Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times! Help fellow team

    mates. Build each other up.

    Please participate in charity events. Every athlete is required to take a cheer position course based on

    placement on a team. Coaches will be required to sign off prior toattending team practices. The class is intended to inform safety ofpositioning and the basic proper technique. It is the hope to also

    provide an understanding and appreciation of the importance andsafety of each position. This is for the safety of every athlete.

    Gossip or bullying will never be tolerated. Enforcement will bestrict and a three strike rule is in place. The third discussionwill result in removal of the program. A seminar will be offeredand mandatory for all athletes

    No mental blocks. Please speak with a parent, coach, gym director,or owner if you have any concerns. The program should be for theenjoyment not a stress factor. There will be opportunities todiscuss with an outside source if you and parent feel it isbeneficial.

    Represent yourself and the gym in the upmost respectable manner onall social media sites. Do not gossip or disrespect another member,coach, staff and includes all other competitor gyms. There is athree strike policy and will result in the removal of the program.

    Pick up after yourself and take pride in YOUR gym. Food and drinksmust stay in designated areas. Cubicles will be provided for youplease have all bags, phones, coats and any other items placed inthe cubbie.

    Please bring proper nutritional items to keep you fueled forpractice. This includes water or Gatorade, protein and healthysnacks. No energy drinks are allowed at the gym for children 15and under. It will be removed and thrown away. Athletes need torespect your body, correct nutritional intake is imperative forpractice. An allstar cheerleader works a body very hard! If there

    are any questions regarding nutrition please contact the gymdirector or owner.

    The use of drugs, tobacco, alcohol and abusive language isprohibited. This behavior will result in immediate dismissal fromthe program. No exceptions.

    Parent Rules of Conduct

    Parent viewing areas are provided as a convenience; please do notabuse the privilege. Parents are not permitted to enter the gymarea, unless requested by a staff member. Do not enter gym floor tospeak with coach if you need to speak to a coach please make an

    appointment before or after practice. If there is an emergencyplease contact the gym director or owner

    The viewing area windows can be closed off by staff at any time. Practices are closed during choreography, 1 week before a

    competition, and at coach's discretion.

    Drama will not be tolerated. Fighting, gossip, disrespect to staff,unsportsmanlike conduct, or any negative connotation will not beacceptable to the gym or any other gym. The rule applies to butnot limited to all social media sites. A three strike rule appliesto parents; first offense individual(s) will not be allowed toremain at the gym for a specified time period at the discretion ofthe owners; 2nd offense individual(s) will be removed from the gymfor all practices, the individual(s) will make arrangements forpayments and all other topics; 3rd offense may result inindividual(S) and athlete to be dismissed from the program. Refundswill not be provided if removed due a violation.

    Do not punish your child by pulling them from practice orcompetition. The whole team suffers and you may result in beingremoved from the program. If there are personal issues then pleasediscuss with owners. All information will remain confidential.

    Athletes must maintain a C average in school. Parents areresponsible for notifying the program immediately if there areschool issues.

    Do not call competitions companies, apparel companies, hotels, orother gyms on behalf of Dynamic Elite. Do not approach or speak

    with competition officials. Failure to comply will result inremoval from program.

    Follow chain of command; coach, gym director, and owner. Pleaserespect this order unless it is a serious or immediate attention isrequired by gym director or owner.

    Veteran Allstar parents please make new parents feel welcome andprovide guidance. We have all been there at some point and it is avery overwhelming process. We are one family and should look outfor one another.

    There is no smoking at doorways. We have designated smoking areasand cigarette receptacles.

    Siblings are not allowed on gym floor for any reason. Parent areais provided to wait for athletes. Children must be supervised byparents while waiting for members to complete a class. We wantfamilies to be there and socialize and hang out but not at thedisruption of a practice. Our insurance is specific to members onlyuse of the equipment, this is a safety concern. This will bestrictly enforced.

    Communication is high priority. We will respond phone calls,texts, and emails within a 24 hour period unless deemed anemergency. We expect the same in return. Owners and gym director

    will have specific office hours or an appointment can be made. Anycritical issues should be brought to our attention immediately!For issues not needing an immediate response please feel free touse our comment box. It will be addressed weekly. All financialinquires will be addressed to the owners.

    Athletes 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult to and fromthe building per local town code.

    Parent Agreement

    I agree to the rules and regulation of the gym. In addition, I willadhere to the handbook and accept consequences that are written. Iunderstand from time to time the regulations may be revised due tounforeseen circumstances during the original draft.
