McDonald’s Corp. (630-623-3000), through a franchisee, will open a 4,000 sq.ft. McDonald’s fast-food restaurant along West Amarillo Boulevard in Canyon, TX.

CVS Caremark Corp. (877-265-7325) will open a CVS along U.S. Highway 460 in Roanoke, VA during May. The 13,000 sq.ft. drugstore will feature a drive-thru and will replace an existing store located along Orange Avenue.

Panera Bread Co. (314-633-7100), through franchisee Covelli Enterprises, LLC, will open a Panera Bread restaurant at Deerfield Town Center, located along Oak Point Road in Amherst, OH. The company currently operates 1,362 bakery-cafes, trading as Panera Bread, Saint Louis Bread Co. and Paradise Bakery & Café, throughout 40 states nationwide and Canada, including 31 restaurants throughout northeastern OH.

H.E. Butt Grocery Co. (210-938-8000) will open an H-E-B supermarket in San Benito, TX as part of a plan to open 13 stores this year. The company will also renovate 60 existing stores. The company currently operates 300 stores throughout TX and Mexico.

Jos. A. Bank Clothiers, Inc. (410-239-2700) will open Jos. A. Bank stores nationwide this year as part of an accelerated expansion plan to capitalize on a weak commercial real-estate market. The company will also begin testing tuxedo rentals in 5% of its store base before expanding the concept to half its stores by the spring. The company currently operates 474 stores, offering men’s business and formal apparel as well as accessories, nationwide.

Best Buy Co., Inc. (612-291-1000) will open a 35,000 sq.ft. Best Buy store in a former Circuit City site at Concord Mills, a retail center located along Interstate 85 in Charlotte, NC. The tenant joins Bass Pro Shops at the center.

z pizza (949-719-3800), through franchisees, will open as many as 400 zpizza pizzerias nationwide during the next several years. The restaurants, offering a menu featuring organic pizzas, sandwiches, calzones, salads and pasta, occupy spaces of 1,100 sq.ft. to 1,500 sq.ft. and provide seating for 30 guests. The company currently operates 95 fast-casual pizzerias nationwide and in Mexico City, Mexico and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Apple, Inc. (408-996-1010) plans to open an Apple store in Palo Alto, CA. The new location will replace the company’s existing store in Palo Alto, will be located less than two blocks away from it and, at 10,700 sq.ft., will be more than twice the size of the former location. The location will feature a transparent façade and skylights to allow for indoor vegetation, and is part of the company’s move to open larger and more iconic stores to accommodate increased traffic.

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. (585-328-2550) plans to open a Wegmans supermarket along East Avenue in Rochester, NY. The store will replace an existing Wegmans location at the site and will be twice as large as the existing store and feature a Market Café prepared food and dining area.

Publix Super Markets, Inc. (863-688-1188) will open a 54,000 sq.ft. Publix Supermarket at the intersection of Tampa Palms Boulevard and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard in Tampa, FL later this year. The supermarket will replace a 48,000 sq.ft. Publix Supermarket formerly located at the site.
