dear friends and supporters, · dear friends and supporters, 1/20/15 i have all of the one-time...

1
I realize, for many of you, that this is the first letter you have recieved from me in several months! I apologize. When I left Rough Rock in September to begin my time with Josiah Venture, I started using a different method of sending out my monthly updates using email. This method would not allow me to print the newsletter to send to people who do not have computer access or prefer to recieve updates via post. I think I have figured out how to send these updates to you, but my new emails contain videos and other fun features that you will miss out on. If you’d like to make a switch to my email list, you can contact me at [email protected], or you can continue to get hard copy letters and maybe I will just have to visit you and show you the things you are missing online! These past months since my return from Arizona have been a flurry of training, recruiting interns, and support raising. Dear friends and supporters, 1/20/15 I have all of the one-time support that I need, but I still need about 52% of the on- going (monthly/annual) support required for me to begin this position full-time. I’m working part-time in this position until I reach 100%, and I’m really looking forward to that day! There is a lot of work to be done with the 2015 interns! These past few months have also been some of the hardest in my life. Just a few days before Thanksgiving, my mom went in for surgery- a routine hysterectomy- and they found ovarian cancer- stage four and very aggressive. She was about 3 weeks post-surgery and ready to start chemo when her doctor did tests that found that the cancer had grown to a point where it could not be treated. She went to heaven on the day after Christmas. I’m so thankful she knew that heaven was awaiting her. It brings us so much peace knowing this is just a temporary good bye. Please keep us in your prayers as we adjust to life without mom. I’m so thankful for each of you, and the support and love you have shown me and my family over the years!
