ThesepastmonthssincemyreturnfromArizonahavebeenaflurryoftraining,recruitinginterns,andsupportraising.

Ihavealloftheone-timesupportthatIneed,butIstillneedabout52%oftheon-going(monthly/annual)supportrequiredformetobeginthispositionfull-time.I’mworkingpart-timeinthispositionuntilIreach100%,andI’mreallylookingforwardtothatday!Thereisalotofworktobedonewiththe2015interns! Thesepastfewmonthshavealsobeensomeofthehardestinmylife.JustafewdaysbeforeThanksgiving,mymomwentinforsurgery-aroutinehysterectomy-andtheyfoundovariancancer-stagefourandveryaggressive.Shewasabout3weekspost-surgeryandreadytostartchemowhenherdoctordidteststhatfoundthatthe
cancerhadgrowntoapointwhereitcouldnotbetreated.ShewenttoheavenonthedayafterChristmas.I’msothankfulsheknewthatheavenwasawaitingher.Itbringsussomuchpeaceknowingthisisjustatemporarygoodbye.Pleasekeepusinyourprayersasweadjusttolifewithoutmom.I’m so thankful for each of you, and the support and love you have shown me and my family over the years!
