The Catholic Education Office is currently undertaking a Students with Disability Review.

The purpose of the Review is to identify how Catholic schools in regional and metropolitan South Australia, in partnership with families and the Catholic Education Office, can strengthen our longstanding commitment to the inclusion, learning and wellbeing of students with disability.

Our service to students with  disability is at the heart of the  Living, Learning, Leading Framework. The Students with Disability Review is one strand in how we assist all students to be thriving people, capable learners and leaders for the world God desires.

A core component of the review are surveys for parents, staff, community members, leaders and school staff.

If you wish as community members the link to the survey can be found at:https://www.cesa.catholic.edu.au/news/students-with-disability-review

From this webpage please click on the community members survey link to complete the survey.

We thank you for your time to undertake the survey.

FISH FARMWelcome back

There have been some exciting new developments over the holidays. The students on Vacation Care made a lot of paper mache fish creations.

We are ready to move into the next stage of our grant program creating outdoor ponds for more endangered fish. These ponds will be located behind the sports shed. This project will require a fair bit of “hands on landscaping” from staff and students. We will start Wednesday week 2.

Our bearded dragons have taken up residence “together”. Over the holidays one of the bearded dragons proved to be a female. How do we know…. the eggs gave it away! Hopefully the next batch will be fertile.

Looking forward to working with you and sharing progress updates again this term.

FROM THE APRIMSunday July 26th was the Feast Day of Saint Joachim & Saint Anne who were the parents of Mary, the Mother of God.

Although there is little written about them, we get the oldest story from a document called the Gospel of James. The legend told in this document says that after many years, an angel appeared to tell Anne and Joachim that they would have a child. Anne promised to dedicate this child to God.

Additionally, they were the parents of Mary who nurtured her, taught her, brought her up to be a worthy Mother of God. It was their teaching that led her to respond to God's request with faith, "Let it be done to me as you will." It was their example of parenting that Mary followed as she brought up her own son, Jesus. It was their faith that laid the foundation of courage and strength that allowed her to stand by the cross as her son was crucified and still believe.
